Liberal congressman plays down Twitter controversy over lewd photo
(CNN) - A prank or a possible glimpse of scandal?
Liberal Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner tried Tuesday to deflect attention away from a controversy involving a lewd photo briefly posted on his Twitter account, saying the matter was undeserving of further attention.

Leave it up to Andrew Breitbart to try and make a conspiarcy out of this ordeal. Let's not forget he's the man responsible for Shirley Sherrod losing her job due to his lopsided reporting.
This appears to be an obvious attempt to setup the Congressman in a most unfavorable light. Curious that the person with the the history, and the most motivation and means to pull off such a fraud is also the first one to discover it. Coincidence.

I can't believe how readily CNN is willing to help propagate the lie that this twitter account was hacked. If it was, the Congressman wouldn't have hired a lawyer and then refused to contact the authorities. The truth is that he got caught and hoped that his friends in the media would help perform a cover up. It's shameful that CNN hasn't asked him the very simple basic questions that would put the congressman's lies to rest.

He sure looks to *me* like a man with nothing to hide! After watching this video, I am fully confident that the one thing that's bothering him at this point is that this distraction is keeping him from concentrating on the things the American people want him to work on. That's the only issue he's got going on right now.

I think we all know that the radical right can't take the heat of Anthony Weiner, they would do absolutely anything to bring him down. He exposes them for what they are hypocrites and enemies of every American who isn't independently wealthy. If truth be known, this will probably be laid at the door of Andrew Breitbart or one of his stooges.

Yep, and Bill Clinton did NOT have sex with that woman, and John Edwards did not have sex with that woman, and did not have a child with her. Ted Kennedy never took a drink or missed appearances because he was too drunk. FDR did not have an affair with his wife's social secretary, Ike did not have an affair with his driver, they just stayed in the same quarters to save room.
