Palin’s threat for those who disagree

(CNN) - Fresh off the first leg of her “One Nation” bus tour, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she did not mean to distract from Mitt Romney’s presidential announcement by visiting New Hampshire on the same day, adding that she reserves ill intent for those with whom she disagrees.

“I do apologize if I stepped on any of that PR that Mitt Romney needed or wanted that day. I do sincerely apologize. We didn’t mean to step on anybody’s toes,” Palin said on “Fox News Sunday.” “I’ll step on the toes of those who are making poor decisions for our nation … I don’t have a problem stepping on toes of those … who keep screwing up.”

The potential 2012 presidential candidate said her five-day tour was not about her – despite its appearance as a publicity tour – and instead showed her the desire Americans have to get back to the country’s foundational principles and away from the positions held by President Barack Obama.

She compared his economic policies to the Titanic, a ship she said will soon be “drowning in debt and in additional economic problems.”

“It’s very noble of President Obama to want to stay at the helm and maybe go down with this sinking ship, but I prefer and many Americans prefer that we start plugging the hole,” Palin said. “We don't have to go the way of the Titanic.”

To reverse America’s economic course, a President Palin would cut the federal budget, cut taxes and regulations to incentivize businesses, and institute an “all of the above energy policy,” including “drill baby drill,” her oft-used slogan.

She reiterated her charge that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is crying wolf by saying the U.S. Congress must increase the debt ceiling by August 2nd. And although she expects Congress will raise the limit, a vote with which she disagrees, Palin said members of Congress “better get something out of it,” whether it be a balanced budget, cuts in federal spending or a reassessment of American-led wars.

“Three wars that we’re engaged in today and our country nearing bankruptcy. We have to rethink everything that we’re doing with foreign aid and with foreign intervention,” Palin said. “We have got to make sure it’s America’s interests first being met in each of these nations.”

The former 2008 vice presidential also addressed some controversies that arose this past week. After she botched details of Paul Revere’s midnight ride while speaking in Boston, Palin correctly recounted the story Sunday and characterized the encounter as a “shout-out gotcha type of question that was asked of me.”

“I answered candidly and I know my American history,” Palin said.

When asked about the more than 24,000 pages of records, including emails, that are set to be released by the Alaska governor’s office, Palin said the emails were not meant for public consumption and that people will “capitalize on this opportunity” and take the messages out of context.

“I don’t think there’s anything private in our family,” Palin said. “Nothing surprises me any more.”

To the media: Sarah Palin has you chasing after her, making fools of you. She is wasting your time, much like Donald Trump did. All you are doing is giving these bozos free and much needed and wanted exposure. Stop chasing her and make her "man up" like the other candidates and provide an honest schedule. If she doesn't, (who cares) she does not get the publicity that she is so desperate for. I thought the media was much smarter than they are acting.

"reiterated" ? No, this shrill woman can only regurgitate. She can't keep the fairy tale of the little Dutch Boy who stuck his finger in the hole of the dam, separate from the sinking of the Titanic which was ripped open when it hit an iceberg. She is not one bit smarter about ANYTHING than the day McCain called and asked her to be his VP. Not ONE BIT SMARTER !

Just like 2008 all over again, where the mainstream press conveniently ignores/overlooks everything bad or negative from the Left (and the current president), all to go after some moose-hunting goofball with nice legs. You guys must really be scared of her, the amount of time and energy you put into trying to drag her down in any way you can.

In 2008, you guys completely lost whatever credibility you had left when you a) completely ignored/glossed over Senator Obama's background, associations, statements, voting record, statements, etc. while b) giving Mrs. Palin a public colonoscopy within about 31 minutes of her appearing on the national stage for the first time. Within two weeks we learned everything about this woman, her family, background, missteps, record, beliefs, etc.

To this day, we don't know as much about the man sitting in the Oval Office as we do this woman.

Tell me how that makes any sense...

"Hey, let's completely give a pass to the guy who's probably gonna win and run the country, but let's be sure we fully tear into this nobody who doesn't stand a chance!"

Priorities, anyone? Thanks, mainstream press. We owe you.

Where was her toe-stepping when Bush & Cheney were running the US into a financial black hole with unwarranted tax cuts, two endless, expensive wars and deregulation of the financial markets which helped bring on the Great Recession? This partisan stupidity is ripping our country (the US) apart. And yet she thinks she's qualified to lead. Delusion, delusion, delusion.

How can she step on toes when she has both feet in her own mouth? The reason she has not announced her run for the president is because even with her ego, she knows she cannot win, and in fact will quickly become a footnote to the race as Trump did. She needs the spotlight to make money. She will milk the questions as to whether she'll run for weeks, during which time she'll sell books and charge $100,000 per speaking engagement to prove she's "one of us". Once she's pressured to announce or not announce, she'll decline to do so for "personal reasons" and with any luck, that will be the end of this nonsense.

This quitter stuff is getting old. She is no quitter unless you people are conplete fools yu know why she had to step down. She couldn't under the circumstances do both. Even at that she will be much better as President than the present Dingo we have now for a leader. If can call him that.

It is not so scary that she is a moron; there are plenty of morons. The scary thing is that a sizable number of Americans seem to think she is qualified to hold office. She is a half-term governor. It is a mystery to me that she managed to get elected to that post. While it doesn't say a great deal about Alaskans' abilities to pick intelligent leaders. What does it say about the Tea Party?

The midnight ride of Paul Revere...warning the British? shooting?

Speaking of the Titanic, the Republican tax cuts for the rich are still sinking the unemployment rate and these tax breaks have not returned one good thing to the country. Palins tough talk about stepping on toes is hilarious coming from someone who is all talk and no action. I wonder if her educational tour did one iota of good for the country ? The only results are that the republican party is on a sinking ship with a boat load of clowns that have no answers to the ills of the country and Palin is the head Bozo.

Sarah Palin speaks without knowing what she's talking about.....whatever comes to mind comes out her mouth whether it is the truth or not. She certainly is the worst politician in my lifetime and if she should ever run for the highest office in the land, you can be sure I won't be voting for her. Why the media keeps reporting about her is beyond comprehension.

She, by her own "logoc" should be stepping on her own toes–or better yet,on her tongue.

One of the reasons for Sarah Palin's huge base of support is that, even though she is not an Ivy League Lawyer as many Obamanauts seem to think qualifies a person for being President, her consistent message is standing the test of time. Obama's message changes with current events. This, along with results we see now from his variety of expensive federal programs suggest that maybe an academic background in law may not be the best preparation for the office of the President.

    His own head economic advisor sounds a lot like what Sarah Palin has been saying all along. We will not pull the economy up by increasing the size of the government. It's a job for private businesses and government's role is not to tax them more, but to allow them to grow;

Austan Goolsbee, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, told CNN's "State of the Union" that the administration's focus is on strengthening business investment and expansion to keep the recovery going.

We need to praise "Pailn" for being who she is!! What a gift to America–she epitomize just how far we have to go towards understanding our history, and appreciating those brave souls who make the true sacrifices for the betterment of others. Let's learn from this "girl" on what NOT to do.

Sarah should take a page from Mark Twain's philosophy: It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

It has been said " Do not trust those who speak how of good or wonderful one is, but love those who criticize or curse you.
Now, you know their true relation or attitude towards you. Wonder, where "Pailn" lies?
