Second hearing on American Muslims scheduled

(CNN) - Congress will hold a second hearing on "radicalization of the Muslim-American community," next week, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King announced on Thursday night.

King's first hearing on American Muslims, in March, sparked international controversy and attracted huge attention by the news media.

He's Islamophobic - why doesn't he go after some of the radical right-wing christians that want to kill the elderly and the poor?

Why are we wasting time on this manufactured issue? Until you can find a terrorist traiing camp within our borders, then you are chasing ghosts, Congressman King? Do you plan to also hold a hearing on the radicalization of the Republican Party?

    Your headline is deceiving.
The hearing is not on American Muslims is on Radicalization of American Muslims.

I am glad we can talk about the reality and call it what it is. Thank got some like King still have the guts to say it like it is.

Hearings aren't going to accomplish much. This is a country that is founded on freedom of religion, and we allow even the most heinous of religions to exist here.

Are these hearings to be followed up by a series on the radicalization of the right wing in America? Should we make a list of the terrorist acts and plots by neo nazis, anti-goverment extremists, and the extreme anti-abortion activists over the past couple of decades?
