Rep. Weiner seeking 'professional treatment'

New York (CNN) - U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, who has been under fire after admitting to inappropriate communications with women online, has decided to seek treatment "to focus on becoming a better husband and healthier person," his spokeswoman said Saturday.

While he is seeking treatment at an undisclosed location, he will ask for a "short leave of absence" from Congress, Risa Heller said in a statement.

No need for NEw Yorkers to be without Democratic representation.

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo – a Democrat- gets to ame a replacement should Weiner step down.

His district will undoubtedly elect a Democrat in any election.

Weiner is only thinking of himself. Dude, you need to go.

Fortunately for the Dems, the man at the top of the party is a loving devoted husband, with a wife that clearly adores him and two beautiful daughters. That`s the moral example of leadership that the rest of you politicians need to emulate.

When Charley Rangel becomes your advisor and hope in a scandal, you have the same chance as an icecube in h-ll.

Less not forgot Weiner has apologized for his wrongdoings first to his wife and his constiuents but this does not seem like enough to some. I do not condone what he has done but there are some sitting representives that have done worst and have not been asked to resign.

The media has been folloing this man and hounding him and representatives have thrown him under the bus less not forget the good he has done in politics and for his party.

We need to remember that this is a human being first, a husband and soon to be father and we need to be careful how we pressure this man. His wife travels a lot with Hillary Clinton and he is alone if something happens to him like suicide then a different story will be on the air and then who is the blame. You do not know where he is going he looks like a very fragile person under a lot of pressure. I am suprised that no professional have spoken out about this. give this man a break he didn't rape anyone or have sex outside of his marriage it was poor judgement.

I truly hope nothing happens to him during this difficult time in his life someone should be embracing him he has done a lot for his constituents and his party.

He needs a permanent leave of absence. How any Democrat can back this individual is beyond reason. He's become an embarrassment to Democrats and to the country.

What exactly is he getting treatment for? Being human and falling for temptation??? Why is his personal life still in the news. If you are going to make news of anything make it about how he lied to his constituents when confronted, instead of just denying to comment on private matters.
