Sarah Palin e-mail message written as though from God

(CNN) – Among the 24,000 pages of e-mail from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin released on Friday, one message stands out for its signature line. It's signed by the "Creator" and "Your Heavenly Father." In other words, God.

Palin sent the e-mail to family and friends in April 2008 in anticipation of the birth of her and her husband Todd's fifth child, Trig. Palin knew her son would have Down syndrome, and the e-mail is a meditation on that knowledge and on how others should view him in light of the diagnosis.

How presumptive of her to think she knows what god thinks. The woman is dangerously ill (mentally).

So it's ok for her to spend all that time writing some fluffy sitcky-sweet PRIVATE religious rationalization nonsense on her government email while she should ostensibly be working, but not ok for Weiner to do PRIVATE things on his government computer (altho it's not actually proven yet that he used gov't resources) that are yucky?

The supposed qualitative difference shouldn't matter.

How many of these emails sent from work were personal in nature? Seriously, Palin only actually held the office for a year or so. How much work did she actually do for Alaska while she was there?

However noble some might try to spin this – a tender, sensitive communication to family members – RULES are RULES.

We fire underlings in Corporate America for using their employers phones, faxes, copiers, computers, etc. for personal business. We can`t expect special treatment for those supposedly at the top [like Partial Term Governors or lying-in-your-face Congressmen] and still expect the "masses" to adhere to rules.

The GOP has branded itself as the "Law & Order" party. This revelation about Ms. Palin`s abuse of Alaska State property reveals, once again, how empty her and her Party`s claims of moral superiority are.

Mr. Vitter match Mr. Weiner and resign on Monday.

What make this woman think she know what GOD think. This is one sick lady. I'm sorry for her son but I don't think she know what God think.

After sifting through 24,000 pages of emails, this is the best 'dirt' they can take out of context and use to try and flog her?

I am proud of Sarah Palin. She stood up to a monumental effort by huge media organizations to pillage through tens of thousands of emails. The pathetic tidbit that they thought they could turn into a story contains no corruption, no misuse of government resources and no policy errors. She stands tall heading into 2012.

I would vote for Palin any day over that idiot who is currently in the White House. While I may have some disagreement with Mrs. Palin it pales in comparison with President Obama and his policies. Funny people want to know everything about Mrs Palin yet were unwilling to look at Obama under the same microscope

"She stood up to a monumental effort by huge media organizations to pillage through tens of thousands of emails."

The victim card is totally unwarranted here and makes you look like a pantwetting whiner. It's called research and it's what the media SHOULD be doing more of. It uncovers what it uncovers and that's that...nothing, something, good, bad. You can't even credibly argue that this is being presented as "dirt"...rather, it's a meaningless fluff piece meant to tuf heart strings that illegitimately props her up instead of tears her down. And before you and the rest of the Astroturf Teatroll Army start yammering about nobody looking into Obama...get a life...two books about his life, myriad FOIA requests and the media propping up the birther argument for the ratings of such a sensationally moronic conspiracy theory, can't credibly make that argument either.

That would seem to be a major indiscretion for a right-wing conservative. And just tacky.

    Sarah, this is GOD –

In 2008, you stated that if you & John McCain lost, you`d know that I was telling you NOT to pursue higher elective office.

I hope that you have the good sense to respect myanswer to your prayers for guidance.

You can not conveniently evoke MY NAME to manipulate evangelical support for you in public pronouncements without consequence.

Do not take my name in vain or to further your human, selfish, selfoserving aims!

This is such a non story, it is laughable. The main stream liberal media and the liberal idiot democrats on this website are grasping for anything that they can get on Palin. Unfortunately for them, they are looking more foolish as the days go by. What is even more disturbing is that this is someone who is not even running for President. They are sick with the Palin derangement syndrome.

This is not really new news. Recall the web site for the Wasilla church that she attended had a video posted of her and the pastor in front of the congregation. The video was quickly taken down, within 24 hours of Camp McCain announcing her name as his VP selection. The video showed the pastor blessing her career and Palin professing that her political career was a "mission from god." This is not really new news. It has simply been forgotten about and swept under the rug.
