Perry to headline New Hampshire dinner

(CNN) - Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry will deliver the keynote address at the New Hampshire Cornerstone Dinner in October, according to the group.

The October 28 awards banquet in Manchester is a large fundraising event in the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state.

The announcement comes as the three-term governor continues to consider a run for the White House. He has said he will make a decision at the end of the month when Texas wraps up legislative business.

"We are thrilled that Governor Perry has accepted our invitation to keynote our annual gala in October," Cornerstone Action Executive Director Kevin Smith said in a statement. "Governor Perry has been a model example of both fiscal and social conservative leadership for the rest of the nation."

The grassroots advocacy arm of Cornerstone Policy Research hosted Republican presidential candidates former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and businessman Herman Cain at last year's dinner.

Never in a million years would I let my 17-year old daughter go on an unsupervised co-ed camping trip. How naive would you have to be to believe they're going to "behave"? Bang-up parenting job there, Sarah.

How can someone who wants to secede from the United States (except when it comes to asking for federal money) even think about running for president, what would he be president of? These GOP idiots who are promoting him are truly idiots, there's no other word to describe them.

"Governor Perry has been a model example of both fiscal and social conservative leadership for the rest of the nation."
He has done an excellent jobs furthering conservative social engineering. You no longer have to send your kids to a school, you can home school 'em. If you see someone on your property, it is legal for you to shoot first and ask questions later.

In a recent case, a man shot a hispanic man who he saw rummaging around in the bushes adjacent to his neighbor's house. He knew the neighbor was on an extended vacation. He blew him away with warning with a shotgun. A grand jury did not indict him, but a trial was held because of the outcry. The defendant opted out of a jury and left it up to the judge. The judge ruled that since he honestly believed he was responsible for protecting his neighbors property that the defendant acted appropriately. Gov. Perry hailed the case a victory for freedom. He just also happened to have been the one who appointed the judge.

Perry, get you butt back to Texas and do your job! I don't understand why you think that anyone outside of the Texas Republicans would ever consider voting for you for President. I guess he wants the sucede the United States from North America.

Oops. I forgot to point out that the hispanic man who was shot had been hired by the neighbor to keep the property in order. He was pulling weeds under the bushes when he was shot. He was the gardener.

If Perry was elected president, he would have no nation to threaten with secession. He is a natural born traitor to the United States. Just the type of fanatic that is worshipped by the current day republican party.

4 out of 5 Texans agree that Perry is a complete and utter fraud. He's stolen private property to sell toll roads to foriegn companys, forced teenaged children to get vaccines, mislead the voters about the budget, executed an innocent man, used stimulus money to balance the budget, then said he didn't, says the federal government isn't doing anything about TX fires when that was in fact a lie, I could go on and on, but at least he's gotten money for the tea drinkers.......fooled once again because they got behind the loudest person in the room and are finally realizing they have been played by the same fools they voted in power in the 10' elections, I'll bet actual tea partiers in FL, WI, NJ, OH, and AZ are finally realizing that they were played and used by the GOP for their time, money, energy, and most importantly their respect of office. But atleast they will be OK, they've spent their hard earned money on books, gold, emergency food, more books, books from the book writers children, books from the book writers past campaign managers, books from conservative radio hosts.....did I mention gold before. Hilarious.

  17. Running for POTUS, Inc.

A cowboy from Texas in the Whitehouse ?? Been There. Done That!

Perry would win electoral votes in red Texas but would hurt the GOP in Virginia, North Caroloina, Colorado, Ohio, etc.

He is only interested in priming the pump for him to extract dollars from politically horny Tea Partiers in the 2012 to 2016 time frame as a prostitue for Fox News.

This man ran for election promoting the idea of Texas leaving the US. He should be charged with Treason, not become the lastest headliners for the GOP. Any person whom would support this person is one that would like to take the country back to 1861. is this really your poster boy? A person who wants to suceed from the nation? Really?

Rick Perry makes GW Bush look like a Rhodes Scholar. He's all hat and no cattle – and does a really really poor bapist preacher impression when he's on the stump. All hail TX – the land of the minimum wage job, filthy air, and a bible thumper on every corner.

Perry thinks being a three term governer of Texas is a good thing, but Texas public life is all about politics, and keeping big businesses happy.

Texas has control of the nations school books, Some top Texas business are Exon Mobil, ConocoPhillipps, Marathon oil, Halliburton, KBR, along with sex trafficking.

Yes they talk tough on illegal immigration, but according to Best Opinion: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, CNN, Lez Get Real
"A bill from state Rep. Debbie Riddle (R) would fine or jail anyone who employs undocumented immigrants — unless it's to clean the house, mow the lawn, or do other work".

Is Perry really the right choice, if you are not rich?
