Bachmann makes official 2012 presidential announcement

(CNN) - Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann formally announced her candidacy for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination Monday during an appearance in Waterloo, Iowa - the city where she was born.

Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite currently serving her third term in the House, told a crowd of supporters that Barack Obama's presidency has been a failure. She promised to lead a new conservative revolution characterized by smaller government and a lower federal debt.

The Republican ship sank and a new one needs to be built. Bachmann is not a captain, sailor, fisherman, sail or engine maker or Admiral. She's a smug but more coherent and intelligent, but just as out-dated and inert corporate puppet wanna-be as Sarah Palin. It's the incompetent but grade-9-passing Chicago-school idealist fool that the military-industry and banker cartels want; she won't watch the important stuff and she'll get on the microphone to assure the public is sidetracked with pointless nostalgia. Egads, America!

Interesting to note that Ronald Reagan was a Democrat before switching to Republican. Don't know if this means anything this time around for Rep. Michelle Bachmann. Bachmann appear to be more electable unlike Sarah Palin, who quit as Alaska Governor after just 2.5 years.....

But history is not on her side as far as being a House Rep. Has there ever been a President elected from the House?

Bachmann is way more qualified than what is residing in the White House now.

  6. Bachmann's so smart...

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence" - Michelle Bachmann.

Do we really want a president who makes such hateful and transparent implications, and who obviously didn't do the slightest research to know that Ford (a Republican) was president during the swine flu scare of '76?

@ Fergy, please tell me why you think that? You have no idea what is going on in this world. Only what you hear on Fox News is guiding your thoughts. You can't even think for yourself.

Tell me how going from losing 700,000 jobs a month to GAINING 200,000 a month is bad?
Or how the stock market going from around 6000 to 11,000 in 2-1/2 years is BAD?
Or how regaining the respect and influence of our alies is BAD?
Or how about having health care for those who have existing conditions is awful?
Or how student loan reform is killing the Nation.
Or how about .... oh, not like you would concede any of those points, but then, you are a Republican which means you don't deal in reality.

I'd rather use my vote for toiklet paper than give it to the likes of Bachmann.
Wallace calling her a 'flake' was putting it quite mildly.
Bachman is ignorant of the very things her current office dictates she should have some functionable knowledge of, like the Constitution. She lacks the depth, intelligence, and mental cohesion to hold public office. She would only serve and represent a minute segment of the population NOT all of the citizens of these United States.

And got us In the worst Recession since the Great recession. So you tell me what Is so great about any Republican, you can get anybody to say NO. and her platform is "undo everything obama". Not, " I have studied the issues and have found my own solutions and they are....". Let's put everything back like in the Bush admin when energy and health care costs more than tripled while American incomes stayed right where they were. Let's also give more tax breaks to the wealthy. Obama is doing the best job that can be done when your predecessor runs the country like a kid with an unlimited credit card and no respect for hard-working middle and lower class.

  15. Tired of the nonsense

If Bachman were to win the GOP nomination, that means the comics will have a field day during the election!

On the one hand, there's Obama - intelligent, well-spoken, sane.
On the other hand, there's Bachman - off her meds, flaky, insane.

Tell me we won't be laughing ourselves silly when we watch her completely show her ignorance and inabilities in a public forum when they have the debates. 🙂

Come to think of it, Palin is a pickled-brained moron who speaks in nothing but word salad, but Bachman might actually give us some quotable nonsense to make fun of when Obama wins by a landslide.
