NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - How should the United States deal with its growing debt problem? Ron Paul thinks declaring "bankruptcy" might be a good idea.
The Texas congressman and Republican presidential candidate was discussing Greece's fiscal trouble with Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson on Monday when he was asked, "If bankruptcy is the cure for Greece, is it also the cure for the United States?"

And that is the problem with "Running the country like a business" I cringe whenever I hear it. If this country were a business we could just declare bankruptcy and star a gain our share holders would be screwed and our CEO's would all have golden parachites and then we could just start over. Except a great deal of the money we owe to ourselves my Dad who worked hard his whole life and is now on Socila Security, which he paid for, he has quite a few savings bonds which would become worthless is we followed this moron into the happyland of bankruptcy. It is irresponsible on the first order to suggets such crap and this idiot will never get my vote.
Just sell some of that gold – I mean, if they can find it.
I don't know about bankruptcy but why can't other countries just forgive our debt as we have done so many times?
