Bachmann: Media wants a 'mud wrestling fight' with Palin

Daniel Island, South Carolina (CNN) – Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann claimed Wednesday that the media is rooting for a catfight between her and Sarah Palin.

"They want to see two girls come together and have a mud wrestling fight, and I am not going to give that to them," Bachmann told a voter Wednesday who asked about her relationship with the former Alaska governor.

The Minnesota congresswoman praised Palin and said there is room in the Republican presidential race for any candidate.

"This race is wide open and we can accommodate all the candidates who want to come in," she said.

She urged Republicans to unite behind "the ultimate goal" of defeating President Barack Obama in 2012.

"We are going to stick together and see this thing through," she said.

Bachmann's question-and-answer session in Daniel Island, a suburb of Charleston, seemed to make an impression on the more than 200 voters who showed up.

"You make me tingle Michele!," one audience member shouted.

"Live free or die!," she yelled back. "That's what they say in New Hampshire."

I don't want to see a mud wrestling match. I'd prefer to see a spelling bee and both of these idiots on Jeopardy answering American History questions. That's more like it.

No thanks Michele. If you want to die, go right ahead. I'll take America just as she is and keep living here.

Good point ConservaFASCISTS...the last thing I want to see is either of them in any state of wet clothing!

Never "catfight" with someone who is below your intelligence because that makes you just as ignorant as they are, that's always been my motto.

If the republicans had their way they would ban any media source that did not agree with their agenda. That has been their thinking for a long time and it is very dangerous. If the media is not free to report what they want, we have entered into the Adolph Hitler type of reporting. When either party can control what the people read and hear, we are all in trouble. When someone like Palin or Bachman say some thing stupid, why is it the media's fault for reporting it? Here's an idea....think before you talk. It's what makes a good leader. If you can't, then you shouldn't be elected. Palin and Bachman will be their own worst enemy. WHy? They can't help it. It's who they are.

I'm sick of all the free publicity these paper patriots are getting so early on...It's like we have elections 24/7 now. Why is Michele Bachmann out on the election trail after only 6 months on the job when our country is in such a mess? WHERE ARE THE JOBS MICHELE? We desperately need campaign reform and public financing of all federal elections. All they've talked about since Obama won in 08 is defeating him, making him a one termer, threats to completely take down this country financially, blame everyone but themselves. Is there one demographic group they haven't offended?

  7. Really?

Oh No! Did she forget to insert the obligatory "liberal" in front of media?!? And...since when did not supporting nutjobs and/or taking everything they say as fact make someone liberal?

No, it would just be entertaining as all get out to watch these two clueless idiots argue with each other when their combined education level is lower than my cat's.

No, Michelle. The media really wants a mud wrestling fight between YOU and PALIN. Literally. Bring a change of clothes.

Michelle Bachmann can't be President until she learns how to say "The United States of America." It's UNITED, dipwad, not Uninen States. If I'm lying I'm buying. Listen to how she says it. OMG.

So Michelle, what is it that you and Palin are slinging at the president? You call him unAmerican or a Muslim and that not slinging it? You read the bible, right? He who is without sin cast the first stone. Oh that's right. DO as we say, not as we do. That's the republican motto.

Maybe the mud could be crammed down their throats to cut the shrill screeching voices. Unable to listen to either for more than 10 seconds or when MUTE can be hit – whichever comes first.

Michele should reconsider. A mud wrestling match between Sarah and her would be the highlight of the republican nominating process. It is so boring now!

Two girls? Really? You both need to look in the mirror. You have botoxed yourself so much that you are starting to look like you have a mask on. You sure that audience member didn't say you make me twinkle and not tingle?
Then again how girly of you to be in sc invoking NH's motto. Is this to make us think you are scholar and you now know the Concord you were talking about in MA (oopsies) was really in NH! Not impressed bimbo!

Who cares – she does! I'd like her to explain the government subsidies to her husband's clinic as well as her government farm subsidies she claims belong to her father-in-law but yet she claimed on her disclosure statements. What a hypocrit! And then you have Rick Perry being flown to Vail to meet with the koch brothers along with Rick Scott, the felon from FL. More bought and paid for politicians...

I would guess that one of the last 5 things the Media, or any true American wants to see, is two old hags wrestling
around in mud, wearing, yuk, bikinis?
How about just some plain old "thruthiness", honesty, integrity, intelligent responses to questions, and some "in this
world" solutions. Talking out of both sides of your mouth is getting old. At least say your "ultimate goal" is to heal
America, but then, you don't know how. Go away, and take your bus and your 200 "tingled" followers with you.

"This race is wide open and we can accommodate all the candidates who want to come in."

That's right. Polls show Republican voters aren't happy with any of the declared candidates. One thing I find interesting is that Bachmann, like Palin, tries to use the media to her advantage while denegrating it at the same time. All fluff and no substance. A mud wrestling contest? I can see Russia from my home? Come on. The last thing America needs is either of these two airheads.
