Daniel Island, South Carolina (CNN) – Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann claimed Wednesday that the media is rooting for a catfight between her and Sarah Palin.
"They want to see two girls come together and have a mud wrestling fight, and I am not going to give that to them," Bachmann told a voter Wednesday who asked about her relationship with the former Alaska governor.
The Minnesota congresswoman praised Palin and said there is room in the Republican presidential race for any candidate.
"This race is wide open and we can accommodate all the candidates who want to come in," she said.
She urged Republicans to unite behind "the ultimate goal" of defeating President Barack Obama in 2012.
"We are going to stick together and see this thing through," she said.
Bachmann's question-and-answer session in Daniel Island, a suburb of Charleston, seemed to make an impression on the more than 200 voters who showed up.
"You make me tingle Michele!," one audience member shouted.
"Live free or die!," she yelled back. "That's what they say in New Hampshire."
They should give up using the moniker "Tea Party" and replace it with "The Bliss Party". If you don't know why, then you're blissful.
Michele, you don't have that choice. It's on Palin and we all know this. If she runs, you'll have no choice.
I still think the whole republican nomination process resembles a circle jerk!
Women everywhere must be so proud... I once saw an interview of the late Senator Barry Goldwater where he was shown a photo of Jane Fonda and ask to respond. He paused and said "damn fine looking woman". When asked if that was all he wanted to say he said "that's all there is to say". It was the deepest cut I ever saw in politics.
Who would you rather see mud wrestle palin & bachman or pelosi & feinstein? Me too...
Daniel Island is part of the City of Charleston, not a suburb as reported.
Where are the replacements if Obama is no longer President? Not a one can fill his shoes or his intellect. They (the republicans) want to dumb down america so they can continue to pillage, plunder, rape and enslave.
Wait a go, Michele. You finally got something right!!
I wonder WHICH media she is talking about. Not the "evil left wing media" of course. Must be FoxNews.
Who ya gonna call?
Animal control?
Obama's 'intellect'? Is that a joke?
The entire GOP canidate pool is running frokm facts while talking about conservative values and how Obama is so bad for America.
Cut the garbage and lets get down to issues. The GOP wants to balance the economy on the backs of the middle class.
None of them has any new ideas to help the situation, it just boils down to the same old GOP montra "Free Trade, Lower Taxes, Eliminate regulations".
It's time to start looking out for our country and not preserving the strangle hold of the rich on this countries economic policy.
Trickle down economics has never worked, putting a new name on it does not change the fact that that is the GOP's big idea for economic recovery.
Maybe a contest between Sarah and Michele to see who took the government for the most money. I think both have had their integrity stolen from them.
It's called setting up a media rivalry. Just substitute the names Romney vs Huntsman or Romney vs Pawlenty. Would you call it a "catfight"?
Three (two-year) terms in Congress and she hasn`t co-sponsored or sponsored ANY legislation that has been inacted.
Ms. Bachmann hasn`t had an ORIGINAL thought nor has she had to build consensus support (a team) to pass anything.
She`s been on TV since at least 2007 though. selling an image.
I can`t see any woman, with any pride in their own work ethic or accomplishments supporting Michele.
Bachmann and Palin mud wrestling? I'd sure like to see that. Then they can try a mud wrestling contest.
The Bobbsie twins of Gaffe
"A generic Republican candidate now holds a four-point lead over President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election matchup. It's a fifth week in a row that the GOP candidate has been ahead and the widest gap between the candidates to date. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds a generic Republican candidate earns support from 46% of Likely U.S. Voters, while the president picks up 42% of the vote."

The end of Obama's reign of terror is within sight....if we can just hold on for another 19 months our long national nightmare will be over.
Personally I would rather you both just go home and leave us alone.
I cant begin to tell you how many GOP blogs mention Palin/bachmann's looks first and not their political positions
Whip cream, anyone?
*sigh* always the victim, how typical of the Republican pretenders. She really needs to quit whining about the media already. Neither she nor Paylin are worthy of the office.
Two Flakes in the ring. It could be shown on Faux News, the best comedy cable station next to Comedy Central.
Only a Republican would try to wrestle mud.
Bachmann thougt Plymouth NH was Plymouth MA and Concord NH was Concord MA. She probably thinks the "Tea Party" happened at Lake Winnipesaukee. That's as bad as Paul Revere ringing those bells. These are the best women the Republicans have to offer.
Just amazes me how the Left fears these two women so much. Just goes to show that no matter what Liberals say, strong women are not in their DNA. Look at how the mashed Hiliary. Young women should look up to the likes of Michelle, Sarah and Nikki. Look at what they accomplished and didn't whine once about inequality. They just fought hard and won.
