Palin: I can win

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said she can win a national election, but has yet to decide if she will take on President Obama in 2012.

"The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off this wrong track," Palin said in an interview published in Newsweek Sunday. "I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win."

The former Alaska governor said there needs to be a larger field of candidates in the race for the White House, and she welcomes discussion about her and other undeclared candidates like Govs. Rick Perry of Texas and Chris Christie of New Jersey.

"Thank goodness the field is not yet set. I think that there does need to be more vigorous debate. There needs to be a larger field," Palin said. "There's still months ahead, where more folks can jump in and start articulating their positions."

Palin, who is still considering a bid for president, said she would not run if faced with opposition from her family, who's "gotta be in it with you."

But she won't receive push-back form her eldest daughter, Bristol.

"I think Bristol has made up her mind, and Bristol wants me to run for president," Palin said. "But we're still thinking about it. I'm still thinking about it."

The article comes as "The Undefeated," a favorable film by conservative filmmaker Steve Bannon, is set to release in select cities on July 15 and nationwide the following week.

Palin, who has become a national voice since stepping down as Alaska's governor following the 2008 election, chastised the president over the debt ceiling negotiations. The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the country needs "strong chief executives."

"The office of the presidency is too important for on-the-job training. It requires a strong chief executive who has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has achieved a proven track record of positive measurable accomplishments," Palin wrote on her Facebook page. "Real leadership requires deeds even more than words. It means taking on the problems no one else wants to tackle."

The utter tripe most trolls post on here is despicable. Baseless assertions, served with a steaming side of sexist, bigoted rhetoric. And the left claims they're the 'enlightened' ones. Anyone who can call another human being a 'head t-bagger' isn't 'enlightened' or anywhere close to open-minded.

Sarah Palin CAN win a national election. The vitriol found, here, in the comments, proves that much. The left always reveals whom they fear the most by attacking that person the most. They must REALLY fear Sarah Palin, judging from the high-dudgeon she manages to inspire with something as nondescript as a note on Facebook.

"By their fruits shall ye know them..." Truer words have never been spoken. Given the bumper crop found here, it looks like it's about time for Ms. Palin to start harvesting....Game on, leftist trolls! She'll be waving at you from the grandstands on Inauguration Day...

Does she think if she says it out loud, then it is true?

I guess she feels like she should say it out loud since no one else is........talk about a waste of time, money and effort on her part. But, the money thing is what I thought might kill her, she is busting into profits she has made on some kind of money making con job she is used to. Books, TV shows, speaking apperences, all con jobs, and her little group of whorshipers are to blame.

Oh, Sarah, I hope this is the going to be the last we hear about you, once you finally get it that the country is not feelin' you. And you finally give up attempting to valadate yourself to the Republicans, because isn't THAT what this is really about after all?! You want to show them don't ya?

If she thinks she can win, she really needs to talk to the people in the US about that, because well, a vast majority of them likely disagree.

America may be desperate but even when desperate, there is something called self-respect! America hasn't yet lost its self respect. When this Palin woman sits down with her family at the dinner table, and she starts to develop illusions that they're representatives of all Americans, then you see why she feels that she can win. Since America is so desperate, I guess Dick Cheney can run and win the presidency. Hahahahahahaha

"The office of the presidency is too important for on-the-job training. It requires a strong chief executive who has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has achieved a proven track record of positive measurable accomplishments,"

Wait, I thought you just said you could win? Did you mean that you could win but would be unable to do the job? Idiot.

Palin can win? Sure, at selling more fluff books through GOP clearing houses. At selling more paid speeches laced with code-phrases. At selling more reality shows.

    Palin is a useless grifter.

  21. The Real Tom Paine

There have been bios on Betty Ford since her passing. What an extraordinary person she was, and what a symbol of how far the GOP has veered off course since the days when her husband restored dignity to the WH after Watergate. Palin is a wonderful example of how far our society has fallen: shallow and vindictive, and without a trace of the real patiotism that characterised the Fords. Gerry adn betty Ford would not even be welcome at GOP dinner any longer, since she supported the ERA and he held the conservative wing of the party in justafiable contempt. Palin is no conservative: she is a reactionary who's husband has espoused secession for Alaska, and has turned a blind eye to violence she incites, then palys the usual " lamestream media is beating up on me again" crap. No, Sarah, you're done.

She will not announce that she is running for pres, she has no chance. As she as she announces she will not, her gig is up and over. She is holding on to her fleeting celebrity for as long as she can milk it.

"I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win."

On the contrary, you are so egotistical as to make a film about yourself but you must be ostentatious in your own regard because you are the only one that really holds you in any regard. And not only are you egotistcal, you are delusional because you would not could not win. But please for the sake of dramatic emphasis and more theater-type antics from the likes of you and your dwindling number of lemming-like followers, run.
