Palin: I can win

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said she can win a national election, but has yet to decide if she will take on President Obama in 2012.

"The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off this wrong track," Palin said in an interview published in Newsweek Sunday. "I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win."

The former Alaska governor said there needs to be a larger field of candidates in the race for the White House, and she welcomes discussion about her and other undeclared candidates like Govs. Rick Perry of Texas and Chris Christie of New Jersey.

"Thank goodness the field is not yet set. I think that there does need to be more vigorous debate. There needs to be a larger field," Palin said. "There's still months ahead, where more folks can jump in and start articulating their positions."

Palin, who is still considering a bid for president, said she would not run if faced with opposition from her family, who's "gotta be in it with you."

But she won't receive push-back form her eldest daughter, Bristol.

"I think Bristol has made up her mind, and Bristol wants me to run for president," Palin said. "But we're still thinking about it. I'm still thinking about it."

The article comes as "The Undefeated," a favorable film by conservative filmmaker Steve Bannon, is set to release in select cities on July 15 and nationwide the following week.

Palin, who has become a national voice since stepping down as Alaska's governor following the 2008 election, chastised the president over the debt ceiling negotiations. The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the country needs "strong chief executives."

"The office of the presidency is too important for on-the-job training. It requires a strong chief executive who has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has achieved a proven track record of positive measurable accomplishments," Palin wrote on her Facebook page. "Real leadership requires deeds even more than words. It means taking on the problems no one else wants to tackle."

Yes, I'm positive that she could run for and win the "Biggest Moron of the Year" award if there was a national election.....

Well – this should take her out of the race then. She quit the only real job she's had with any "real authority" so, by her own admission, she is not qualified for the job.

This woman is delusional. She doesn't even get the fact that the majority of people in this Country see her as a joke and nothing else. I hope she does win. It will make for great Saturday Night Live skits and will insure Obama a slam dunk if the Republicans actually nominate her (which is not at all likely to happen – even they are not that dumbed down).

    "I'm not so egoistical..."

LOL!!!!!!! Stunning comedy. Her over-inflated ego and lust for money are the only reasons we continually read these "update" stories on her status. SHE'S NOT RUNNING! Has never intended to. She's in this to max out her unfortunate fame. She's very much "so egotistical".

"Folks, she only says this kind of stuff to rile up the left to keep her name in the news. The left wing and Palin haters continue to fall for it. Palin is laughing all the way to the bank.. Jokes on you."

How is the joke on us? It's not Dems and liberals who are getting suckered into giving her their money. Duh. Sure, it's irritating that she keeps getting attention, but if it empties a few more conservative pockets to help prop her up, then I'M the one laughing. Keep donating and voting against your own interests...please.

"The office of the presidency is too important for on-the-job training." True enough. But name one president who did not receive "on the job training." Simply put, there is no job like president. Perhaps the god-like Founding Fathers, whom we have taken to worshipping of late, should have required some pre-presidential training, like service in the vice-presidency or as "president-elect."

If you must dream.. dream big.. I hope you do win the nomination for the GOP...

So President Obama can whack you by 300 Electoral Votes.. He wont even have to campaign in about 15 states.. including the 6 where you get all of your votes.. Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska, West Virginia and South Carolina..

Your nomination would put even dead red Texas into play.. and you would probably lose Arizona because you will ignite the Latino vote against the GOP..

If George Bush can win re-election, then yes, Sarah, you can win. The problem is, you can't fool the same people twice. I just have one question for you. You've been very vocal regarding Obama's spending but where was your voice when Geogr Bush took a surplus and immediately spent us into a recession? You, Sarah, are a national hypocrit.

No, no Sarah you can't win. Stop your day dreams. No one in the right mind plants the seeds where they did not prepare the farm first! Abandoning your job, totally cancelled you off from any elected Office.

"It requires a strong chief executive who has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has proven a past track record of positve measurable accomplishments"??????? This from a mayor of a small town, a Govenor who quit in mid term, didn't know Africa was a continent, has her history so confussed with what really happened, has to hire a movie producer to try to push her complishments, thinks the world all began just 4000 years ago.....positive track record, lets not forget the Crooshairs on Democrats that she disagreed with on the Health Care Reform bill, so she told America to not RETREAT but RELOAD.....and so some fool did in ARIZONA and tried to kill democrat Gifford and did kill several others including a 9 year old grl....this is what you call Positive track record? This is what you call rational? This is what Americans want to run our country..........don't think so......if she is so positive that she can run, then jump in and lets see what you got.....she wants more canidates in the race for only one reason, the more in the more the votes will be slit up among them and she thinks she will run away with the majority of the votes.......she is a has been, it's over for her and she knows it or she would be in the race already......

She's advocating 'Positive Change'???? She hasn't had a positive thing to say (or do) since she hit the national stage! Her whole rhetoric, oratory, and vitriol language has been nothing but 'negative, negative, negative'. And - not one utterance of 'how, why, or 'what specific policies' she, or any other Republican candidate' would offer to help this country out. Simply another scamer using the political system to stuff her own bank account, while leaving the 'middle class' she 'pretends' to represent, high and dry and conned out of their monies. Pathetic!

She won't even run. It would be a cut in pay for her. I'll bet the other candidates are saying to themsilves: Please don't endorse me. Look at what she did for McCain. He had a lead 10 point in the polls and 2 weeks after he annonced her as his vice-presidential candidate, he was down 10 points. Besdies, who wants the backing of a quitter?

Sarah really needs to run from politics and devote her time to entertainment. She makes more than ten mill a year in her pajamas. With the movies and book deal come on. Just look at the attention that she is getting from Who Is Nailin Palin? Anyone can see what she knows and loves best. Who needs the definitive It Is All About Me candidate when they have Sarah Palin doing flicks like that. Two thumbs up for Nailin. We all knew that Sarah was good for something. It sure wasn't as a political leader.
