Palin: I can win

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said she can win a national election, but has yet to decide if she will take on President Obama in 2012.

"The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off this wrong track," Palin said in an interview published in Newsweek Sunday. "I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win."

The former Alaska governor said there needs to be a larger field of candidates in the race for the White House, and she welcomes discussion about her and other undeclared candidates like Govs. Rick Perry of Texas and Chris Christie of New Jersey.

"Thank goodness the field is not yet set. I think that there does need to be more vigorous debate. There needs to be a larger field," Palin said. "There's still months ahead, where more folks can jump in and start articulating their positions."

Palin, who is still considering a bid for president, said she would not run if faced with opposition from her family, who's "gotta be in it with you."

But she won't receive push-back form her eldest daughter, Bristol.

"I think Bristol has made up her mind, and Bristol wants me to run for president," Palin said. "But we're still thinking about it. I'm still thinking about it."

The article comes as "The Undefeated," a favorable film by conservative filmmaker Steve Bannon, is set to release in select cities on July 15 and nationwide the following week.

Palin, who has become a national voice since stepping down as Alaska's governor following the 2008 election, chastised the president over the debt ceiling negotiations. The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the country needs "strong chief executives."

"The office of the presidency is too important for on-the-job training. It requires a strong chief executive who has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has achieved a proven track record of positive measurable accomplishments," Palin wrote on her Facebook page. "Real leadership requires deeds even more than words. It means taking on the problems no one else wants to tackle."

Though she is a liability on her party, she can be a huge asset to Dems if she decides to join the race. She will make the work even easier to the opposition side.

It is statistically IMPOSSIBLE for Palin to win. The media needs to ignore her.

WHO, in their right mind, would trust the Quitta from Wasilla with ANY national office? The track record she speaks of is one she does not possess. Marred by Ethics probes and awash in the ink from redacting pens, the only strong position we KNOW this woman possesses is Vindictiveness.

She is just desperately trying to get another book deal or a few more high paying speaking engagements before she is done for good. The "is she or isn't she running" attention is all she has left at this point. As soon as she announces that she is not running, she will no longer receive the attention she needs to make money for herself (which is all she is really interested in anyway).

Sure you can, Sarah. I'm dying for you to run and prove it to us.

And when you don't win as you boldly predict, please, ride off into the sunset ... for good.

With all the redacted emails or emails that weren't released, we really don't know what Sarah was up to in Alaska but that matters not.. If she was the " Undefeated " she should have manned up and stood up to those in Alaska whom she claimed were out to ruin her..According to released emails, it was GOP leadership and one or two bloggers that got under her skin..BLOGGERS? ROFL.. President's have to take a lot of criticism and still get the job done..Just ask W and Obama.. Nope, she doesn't have the stuff. But hey, let her try, it will make for interesting dinner table conversation..

Sarah Palin believes she is among a small group of individuals capable of showing genuine leadership for our country. We need Sarah Palin in the race. This is the only possible way for her to understand and fully digest her actual appeal to the American voter, as opposed to the delusional appeal she imagines she enjoys. Please, please: Run, Sarah, Run.

Anyone can win but doesn't mean they will. Everyone who goes into a race for office thinks they can win because if they thought they couldn't, than waste the time. The thing is Palin will not win if she runs no matter how much she thinks she will, one can not will themselfes into the WH. The more the field of republicans come into the race, the crazier the republicans will look to the american people. Mrs.Bach made some crazy statements already, like slave children were better off than they children of african americans are now. Yeah shes crazy and so are her supporters!!!!

She can't complete complete a coherent sentence and she lacks common sense..... any rational person would say there is no way this woman could become president... but this is the country that put Bush in office, twice!!!!! Our national motto should be, "Ignorance is bliss".

Bachmann/Palin 2012..........this is the BEST the GOP can do this year. Unless the country has gone completely NUTS (remember we did elect GW Bush twice, depending on how you view it) President Obama might as well start working on his second term.

Sure, bring it on Sarah. I am looking forward to you debating Barack Obama. That would be big time face to face in front of the nation and the world. I don't doubt that you think you can do it and then lead the nation. The issue facing you right now is that possibly your own party might not support you for a variety of reasons that are well known and that I will not delve into. Please, I do look forward to you running and getting that far. Good luck.

Sarah Palin couldn't elected village idoit, unless she has more money that Obama she still couldn't win. There are a lot of people who don't like Sarah Palin. I think she is a "quiter". Look what she did in Alaska. I wouldn't put too much stock in what Sarah Palin says or does.

If she really believed that she could win, she would run! She knows that she can't win and she believes that Obama will be re-elected. She will not run! It's just that simple!
