Palin's advice on debt ceiling: 'Reload with reality'

(CNN)-Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had sharp words for both President Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell late Wednesday as she criticized their handling of the looming debt ceiling deadline.

"It's absolutely nonsensical the lack of planning that our leaders are exercising and showing their constituents coming out of D.C. right now," she said.

The 2008 GOP nominee for vice president pulled no punches in an appearance on Fox News when it came to the actions of the president, whom she blamed for "big government job killing policies" and "fearmongering tactics" or McConnell, who proposed a short term plan she claimed "makes no sense."

"It does cede power to our president and takes away that authority that is inherent in Congress to control the economic decisions that have to be made when it comes to debt," Palin said of McConnell's short-term strategy to increase the debt ceiling in three increments.

"We cannot afford to back off and hand him a white flag saying, 'Here Mr. President we trust you you take over, you do it' because our president has failed in that area," she continued.

And though there's blame to go around, for Palin, the buck stops with Obama.

"Our president is essentially suggested the other day that he's not able to prioritize, as the chief executive of our nation he can't prioritize," she stated.

Palin, who said she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president by August or September, also gave advice to Republicans engaged in debt negotiations with the executive-in-chief.

"We cannot default but we cannot afford to retreat either, now is not the time to retreat. It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.

What Is the point of reporting on what this fool has to say ?
Is it to prove that she would not make the run-off of "Are you smarter than a fourth grader"?

There goes Palin with her reloading comments again...What a loser! She has no business giving advice about anything to anybody!! Good thing Fox News keeps her employed...otherwise we wouldn't be lucky (unlucky) enough to hear from her several times a week. Yuck!!!

She's not going to run because right now she knows she cannot win. She is looking to run in 4 years. Her hope is that Obama becomes such a complete failure that the people will be desperate for a change. She's banking on the republiv=cans to make sure taht he does fail. That kind on thinking could backfire.I've already heard the discussions that people are getting tired of the republican rhetoric. They are tired of all the negativity and are losing more and more support. They could lose their advantage and lose seats next fall. that would eb the worst news Palin could receive.

Here she goes with the "Reload" rhetoric again. Was a dead little girl, a dead judge, and a Congresswoman shot in the face not enough to teach her some decorum? Where are all of those people who signed a resolution against violent rhetoric? Do we see them calling her out? No. Freaking cowards.

The Half-term quitta from Wasilla opens her piehole again for our entertainment. The GOTP can't hold the nation hostage with this debt ceiling "debate" and the sane ones know it. To continue the foolhardy approach that harms their corporate masters as well as the middle class is simply a recipe for disaster and a surefire way to speed up their current march towards extinction. Their best bet to walk away with a tiny bit of face left is to go with McConnell's dereliction of duty "plan".

Since Palin is supposedly such a Regan worshipper, does she know that Ronnie raised the debt ceiling and taxes multiple times during his tenure? Damn those facts - liberal bias once again. She's either stupid (feasible) or being the hypocritical IOKIYR deliberately obtuse one (also feasible, but less likely than she's just stupid as the day is long)

Several paragraphs that eseentially say nothing. I agree that all of the leaders are failing. The Republicans are just doing a better job of failing right now.

The real nonsense is the idiocy displayed by the Republicans. We have historically low taxes, but very high expenses (military, Medicare, etc). We will never have a balanced budget with both. We need less spending AND higher taxes. This is simple to understand.

"Constituents" might take you seriously, Sarah, if you actually offer up your own strategies instead of criticizing everyone else's.

    reload, reload to what? what does that mean? a sound bite which doesn't fit; appears to be a square peg trying to be fitted in a round hole; if you want me to take you serious, converse in plain English and simply explain what you would be doing instead of ranting how others are failing;

Out of the mouths of heatherns comes the babbling of huge slobbering lips who have no ideal what they are talking about. They will protect the Pied Piper who knows not what to do while he takes them and the economy over the cliff with him. Now is the time to show you're a leader and he has failed miserably. The clock is ringing again at 3 AM. Again he rolls over and goes to sleep again. HE MUST GO. PALIN 2012

Sarah Palin, like most of the "Tea Party" and GOP, is very good at criticizing and saying what is wrong with our country, but no one has offerred any realistic, meaningful and/or practical long-term solutions – just generalizations. How about some in depth studies for waste and fraud both in spending [the originally excellent and well thought out programs of Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security benefits/disability are now loaded with both of these – putting the earned and proper benefits in jeopardy], and the current tax code, then act on those results, for starters. Lots of waste just in Congress and their salaries, benefits, large staffing allowances, etc. Why do members of Congress need a second complete residence – wouldn't a dormitory arrangement with common areas for cooking, eating, laundry, entertaining, etc. be sufficient? Why do some have to drag families back and forth – they are not working for the government ?

Maybe the President should just resign mid-way through his term and peddle his daughters and their illegitimate kids to Reality TV.

What? His daughters don't have kids out of wedlock? Why not?

The QUITTER RAISED TAXES as governor through the ACES tax that tax the oil giants on their production in order to balance the Alaska budget. MAYBE if the GOP/TEA Birthers looked into that option, we wouldn't have to worry about raising any debt ceilings.

    The right HAS become deranged.
Vote for Term Limits for Congress!
