Olson and Boies teamed up in support of gay marriage, against Proposition 8 in California in 2010. The two sat down with Borger in March 2010 to explain their position, what they saw as the last civil rights battlefield.
The two prominent lawyers were on opposing sides in 2000 when Olson represented George W. Bush and Boies represented Al Gore in the presidential recount case.
Borger's nod is one of eight 2010 Emmy nominations for CNN in the over-the-air, cable, satellite and internet broadcast category.
The Academy will also give the Emmy award for Lifetime Achievement to Larry King at the September 26 ceremony in New York.

I recall seeing the piece when it first aired. It was good work.
I cannot believe that the self declared defenders of the US Constititution, conservatives, would advocate allowing such a vote, one that restricts the rights of a minority by majority vote, to take place when it is clear violation of the 14th Amendment.
Kudos to Ms. Borger. She is fine journalist and an asset to CNN's political team.
Good for her. I like her and hope she wins!
Congratulations on your nomination Ms. Borger, you are a true professional.
