Huntsman campaign manager resigns

Washington (CNN) – The campaign manager for Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman resigned Thursday, the Huntsman campaign confirmed to CNN.

Susie Wiles will be replaced by communications director Matt David, according to a statement. The former Utah governor will announce the changes to his staff Thursday.

"Susie has served the campaign well and was vital in getting it off the ground in such a short time-frame," Senior Campaign Adviser John Weaver said in a statement. "Now the campaign is moving into phase two which will be more aggressive from a messaging and tactical standpoint and Matt is prepared to take that on."

News of the resignation was first reported by The Washington Post.

That doesn't mean that Romeny is better than Obama. Look I will prove it by using your own argument.
    1. Great Britain is an island.
    2. Cuba is an island.
    3. Therefore, Great Britain equals Cuba because they are both islands.

My logic is terribly flawed. I know. That's the point.

There will be many more resignations from Mr. Magic Underwear's campaign in the future... just another empty suit.

Man, it's just one thing after another......Obama has an absolutely stunning record of failure on everything.

Chrysler is out on its own after paying off its loan. Its enjoying being in teh free market, something I doubt you ahve any experience with. GM saved? Was that a failure? Bin Laden dead? More border agents deployed, border cities safer than any other section of the country? I would go on, but there is not enough space, and I actually work to support you blogging in Mommy's basement. Ask yourself if Huntsman or anyone else out there has the chops to do the job: when your best candidates are a man who ranked 46th in the nation as governor in terms of job creation ( and closed down companies and pocketed the money), and a Rep who has not introduced ONE SINGLE PIECE of legislation in her entire legislative career, you tell me who is successful. Its cvertainly not anyone you can produce. Don't bother mentioning Perry: all those jobs he talks about have come at the expense of everything people value in a job, namely safety, healthcare, benefits, and a decent living wage. I spend enough time calling my clients in the oil patch to know that the " jobs boom" in Texas is a mirage, and Perry is the last person anyone in the know will give credit to.

This is a good guy who is getting no traction in the news. He was the best governor out of all of them. Can't believe Bachmann is ahead of him in the polls.

Message to republicans: STOP BLAMING THE PRESIDENT WHEN YOU'RE THE ONES STANDING IN FRONT OF PROGRESS. STOP PROTECTING THE RICH WHEN THE POOR HAVE NOTHING MORE TO GIVE. THE ONLY ONES TO BLAME FOR THESE PROBLEMS ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE GREEDY. GREED IS WHAT GOT US INTO THESE ISSUES AND REPUBLICANS RATHER SEE THE POOR SUFFERING THAN TO OPEN THEIR WALLETS. THE REPUBLICANS HAVE HELP MAKE THIS COUNTRY AND NOW THEY SEEM TO WANT TO DESTROY IT. DON'T GIVE UP MR. PRESIDENT, DON'T GIVE IN, GIVING IN WILL ONLY MAKE THESE GREEDY FOLKS WANT MORE

Actually... Republicans = Hoax. Democrats = For the people.

It's a bit early in his campaign to already be throwing workers under the bus, don't you think? Rather strange campaign he's got going ... no money, no talent, no ambitions.

    SURPLUS = REVENUES – EXPENSES

I continue to believe that this man is only running to position himself for 2016. He is a white, Republican version of President Obama; that is his unspoken appeal. He is statesmanlike, civil, appears to be a "thinking man" [as opposed to a Bush or Perry or Bachmann type] appears to have honor courage & integrity [unlike Romney, Pawlenty & Gingrich].
    -------------------------------------------------–
    My sentiments exactly SRE.
I would vote for him......in 2016 if he doesn't cave to Rethug influence and continues to remain above the fray.

Poor John Huntsman, the media sure built you up, and you were dumb enough to believe the hype. I don't know what's worse, your 3% poll numbers, or that Sarah Palin has better poll number number and she hasn't announced yet. Good luck with all that.

@Real change – the good kind typed – – Huntsman is better than Obama. Romney is better than Huntsman.
    – – – – – – –

    Well, not exactly.

Romneycare = Obamacare = No talking point for Romney

Obama = 2,500,000 jobs created since taking office 2.5 years ago [with more to come]
Romney = 50,000 jobs created in his 4 years as governor (3rd from the bottom) + Romney = a corporate raider & job outsourcer

Therefore: Obama >> Romney [For those who are "math challenged" >> means MUCH GREATER THAN]

I think Huntsman is the best Republican candidate. Probably the most electable one in the general election also. He did a great job as Governor and unlike the other Governor's he has foreign policy experience.

Huntsman's campaign is in trouble. He can't even distinguish himself from boring "play it safe" Romney. With Romney hiding in the bushes in a cynical attempt to avoid major mistakes, Huntsman's campaign is stuck in neutral. What an uninspiring field of GOP/Tea Party candidates...from too uknown and dull to too extreme and strident.

Look at past elections, and you see that when someone is considered too far to the right (like Barry Goldwater) or too far to the left (like George McGovern), then they loose by a landslide. Jon Huntsman has experience as an executive, both running a state and a company, plus foreign experience. He is a moderate. This is what many Americans want.

Huntsmann can`t beat Obama because he is really no different.

Huntsmann can best serve America as the next Commerce Secretary under Obama from 2012 -to- 2016.

I personally like Huntsman civility and attitude, but his campaign just keeps falling flat on it's face. First was the announcement with the out-of-view statue of Liberty, then misspelling his own name, the hi-jacking of his website to a frilly pink pro-Obama and Huntsman juvenile hack... and now his staff is jumping ship. As Obama would say, "What a shame."
