Washington (CNN)-A Republican source familiar with the negotiations tells CNN that Speaker Boehner told Republican lawmakers Friday that to get the debt ceiling raised by August 2nd, the House must vote on legislation by next Wednesday-and that means it must be posted online this coming Monday.
A House GOP leadership aide tells CNN that Boehner is telling members he believes a House vote has to happen by Wednesday in order for the Senate to have enough time to vote on it before August 2nd. This is because House GOP leaders assume that conservatives in the Senate will force the Senate to overcome a number of procedural options that could take days to do.

I wish they would stop saying "THE AMERICAN PEOPLE" when making their arguments for no tax cuts.
They need to replace that with "BIG BUSINESS, THE WEALTHY and MY CONSTITUENTS" (who don't give a rats azz about all you little people, seniors and anybody workin their azzes off at reduced hours, ethnic groups, and oh yeah ..all you people collecting unemployment) .....let's see .... I think that's at least half or more of America.
The Bush tax cuts were basically a salary cut for the government at the same time 2 wars were started.... No president in American history has ever done that (until DUBYA). RESCIND THE BUSH TAX CUTS!
The House, and by that I mean the Republicans, had no difficulty in creating the budget-busting budget last year, and now they won't honor their predecessor's promise to pay the country's debts. Just remember GOP, your irrational hatred of Nancy Pelosi has just gotten the country's notice. The House of Representatives, by order of the Constitution of the United States Of America, is tasked to protect the nation's purse. Not the Senate; Not the President of the United States. The House of Representatives. The blame is purely yours.
