Boehner seeks debt-ceiling solution before Asian markets open
WASHINGTON (CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner wants to come up with a solution to the nation's debt-ceiling crisis in the next 24 hours to head off a negative reaction in Asian markets, a Republican aide said Saturday.
Boehner stated this goal in a Saturday-afternoon conference call with House Republicans, just hours after he and other congressional leaders met with President Barack Obama in the White House. That conference call also came a day after Boehner broke off talks with the Obama administration on how to prevent a national default.

I have never seen a US President so disrespected as President Obama. Boehner treats him like a piece of s*it. I am surprised this is not more of an issue in the United States. Why is cutting back on defence, sorry military, spending not even on the table??
It is too bad that the President can-not Fire these people on the spot for their complete failure to respect the responsibilities they took an oath to uphold.
Never before has there been such behavior of disrespect shown in a National emergency.
Until jobs are retained in America there will never be a balanced budget.
What would really be the outcome if the entitlements were scaled down. And what gives government the right to have spent our ss money that I have been putting in for 40 years. If I spent money like they have I would have lost everything money years ago. I saw get rid of them all and get back to the basics of life as the responsible people have done.
The republicans always stall and stall to make everything an emergency, then they vote against what they agreed to.
It's all a game to make our first half-white president look bad.
The tea-baggers and republicans are OUT in 2012. Gone. Kaput.
Obama only had an hour to meet with the congressional leaders, he had to make his tee time for some golf.
Look at "Our Commander and Chief"" With anger in his eyes, trying to keep America from Defaulting, and the "Con Artist" eyes on Mr.Boehner?? Boehner is "Bought and Sold to the Teaparty Facists,Corrupt Ceos,corruption in the Banks,Wallstreet Speculators and Hedge Fund Thugs!!!! Americans need to "Fight this kind of "Corruption in the Gop" Vote them Down!!!!! And put "Norquist,Koch,and Murrdock in the "Tank" of "Nobodys??? Stop White Collar Crime in America!
They hate you President Obama, don't give them an inch. We are depending on you to save the middle class and continue to give us a chance at the AMERICAN DREAM. Thank You

The GOP are begging the president to save their sorry collective asses, they know full well the entire country if not the world will blame them and they know it'll be the end of of their party.
Anyone else out there a little PO'd that we pay these people six figures, plus all kinds of perks including staff so they don't acually have to read the bill presented, to just take their ball and go home? And when are we going to revolt and stop paying them for this childishness. Do Republicans really want to sink the global economy with this game? Is that who we voted into office. If I remember correctly, it had more to do with jobs, jobs, jobs, no?
