Rep. Wu to resign

Washington (CNN) - Embattled U.S. Rep. David Wu will resign from the House of Representatives after being accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward a fund-raiser's daughter, he announced Tuesday.

In a statement issued by his office, the seven-term Oregon Democrat said he would step down once the current standoff between Congress and the White House over raising the U.S. debt ceiling is resolved.

Goodness. We Americans DO insist on continually voting the corrupt in, only to watch them fall in disgrace, don't we? What a joke Congress has become ... on BOTH sides of the aisle.

He wasn't worried about his kids when he did it. Glad he got caught.

Now, how about Vitter?????? Do republicans not demand the same from their "family values christians"?

WOW – Seems to me that pictures and advances from the dems warrant a resignation - but actual solicitation of a prostitute, actual sex with prostitute or married mistress is OK for republicans.

    Just saying ................................

All you folks complaining about 9% unemployment - don't you realize almost 91% are EMPLOYED?

Default, or cutting spending, will defininitely put an end to job creation. Can you build a house without buying the materials to put in it?

Have all the Democrats even undergone a background check? First Weiner now this Wu pervert makes me wonder why the Democrats are truly courting the youth vote. Lining up their next victims, in more ways than one.

"Now, how about Vitter?????? Do republicans not demand the same from their "family values christians"?"

For the record, I believe Vitter should resign. There have also been calls from Christian organizations that have called for his resignation. That being said, there are obvious differences in the situations which you don't seem to be able to grasp. Perhaps you don't see a difference in Wu's forced sexual advances towards an unwilling participant and a Vitter's involvement with willing prostitutes? If you cant figure this one out, you have some serious issues.

Vitter apologized to his caucus and got a standing ovation as a reward.
