Veterans groups summoned to White House on debt ceiling impact

Washington (CNN) - Veterans advocacy groups have been called to the White House for a late afternoon meeting Tuesday to be briefed by Obama administration officials on the impact to veterans if Congress does not pass legislation raising the debt ceiling.

"We were notified late last night of the meeting," says David Autry, spokesman for Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Autry and several other veterans advocacy groups say a growing number of veterans are worried their disability check or other benefits could be cut or withheld if the debt ceiling crisis is not resolved.

This self made crisis was engineered to diminish the President, to block effort on the Job front, sabotage the business of running the country … why because they only thing the Republicans care about is making President Obama a four term President.

Looks to me, that our President is deftly overcoming every obstacle put in his way and the Republicans are being exposed for the liars and game players that they are.

Veterans are only one of the groups of decent loyal Americans who are getting hurt by Republican stonewalling.
The Republicans already passed a bill in The House that raises the debt ceiling. What have the Democrats done? That's right, nothing except point fingers and complain that they need to raise taxes.

    Fair is Fair,

Will you guarantee that everyone will get the checks on time? Will Congress pass a bill guaranteeing that everyone will get the checks on time? Actually, Congress can pass such a bill. It is called "raising the debt ceiling."
