(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been released from the hospital after having difficulty breathing Thursday morning.
Christie, who suffers from asthma, was admitted to Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey, early Thursday after his inhaler did not give him "the kind of relief" he normally gets from using it, the governor said at a press conference after his release.

I bet he enjoyed having tax payer funded health care pay for his visit
Maybe he needs to go easy on the cheeseburger..
Bet he was just constipated and needed a good excuse to go in for a weekly enema to clean the junk out of himself.
The first thing he did upon leaving the hospital was to bowl-over a few senior citizens in his beeline to rob some children of their happymeals!
He needs to get on a health and wellness program and lose some weight. I am smaller and have asthma and I know what my doctor says.
A concerted effort to lose weight might help some, as the governor is morbidly obese and so out of shape that he takes a car 200 yds. from the state helicopter to his child's sporting event. Do your kids a solid, make an effort to improve your health and if successful will have more time to enjoy them after you get bounced out of office you brash arrogant pomposity.
Gov. Christie needs to lose weight.
Republicans all know this man is obese. His children are also at risks. WHY is this a surprise to anyone?
Governor Christie was hospitalized today with "fat". Doctors say complications, including fat assthma, will continue to affect his mood and disposition for years to come.
This is the person that Ann Coulter has pushed to run for the Presidency. The fact is that his appetite and his grossly overweight condition has proven that he can't control his own life much less the needs of this Country. I wish him well personally for the sake of his family but, he is not fit emotionally to lead the Country.
Unless he wants to die, he needs to lose about 100 lbs, he is morbidly obese. Asthma and lung function do not go well with excess fat.
You need a rest sir!!
Good news!! stay strong!! I mean no offence but you can do better shedding that overweight baggage, its good for your knees.
What a shame.
The lighter I am, the healthier I will be," he said.

Gov. Christie I am happy to hear of your recovery, and heartend to see that you are taking important steps towards controlling your weight. Very commendable.
As an ex-smoker I know that it is hard to get something under the control that has been controlling you for quite sometime, but it can be done.
Persevere sir and good health to you.
