Bachmann: The president has no plan

Washington (CNN) -– Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann took to the House floor Saturday to slam President Barack Obama on his position in the ongoing debt stalemate.

“Throughout this debate over guaranteeing insane never before seen in the history of this country levels of spending, President Obama has coolly stood on the sidelines, his arms crossed, very simply castigating Republicans for not giving him a $2.4 trillion blank check,” Bachmann said.

Minnesota Rep. Bachmann chastised the president for what she said was a lack of a solid debt plan.

“The only plan that the president has put forward is his February budget which in itself contained yet one more $1.5 trillion deficit,” Bachmann said. “The president has no plan. Only the Republicans have offered plans.”

Bachmann’s comments came as the House was preparing to vote on a plan proposed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat.

  1. Republicans Are The American Taliban

The President doesn't need a plan. Congress needs a plan. The Democrats plan is to raise the debt ceiling. The Republicans plan is to destroy our economy. Simple...

Give someone–Rep. Bachmann–a microphone and s/he thinks s/he has the freedom of speech to spout anything regardless of its factuality or rationality. She and the Teapublicans represent the dumbing-down of both American politics and culture. Sad but true, and it happens in such an electoral democracy.

And the Tea Party – Ms. Bachmann's primary supporters – are hellbent on wrecking the economy to prove in order to demonstrate that they are more ideologically pure than skilled at running a country So....even if her claim were correct, which it is not...I'd rather have a president with a plan that is based on compromise and negotiation than to place my future in the hands of fanatics who have no grounding in either sound economics or good public policy.

I get so tired of the Republicans complaining about "Obama's Blank Check." The President can't spend one cent more than what both houses of Congress allow him to spend. If the Republicans don't like his spending plans, fine, change the law and budget.

What is her plan. She said she will not vote for it so why is she even talking about it?

She has a plan - pray away the gay and make the elderly and poor pay for her farm subsidies and foster children.

Bachmann is a testament to the abject failure of our schools. Her understanding of economics would not allow her to matriculate beyond the third grade. If she believes that default would improve Americas position in the world, then she must have a huge pot farm hidden in the forests on Minnesota where she has been toking too much of that magic weed. She is not only unqualified, but she poses a serious threat by laying the foundation for the impending destruction of the American way of life.

Obama voted against raising the debt ceiling when Bush was president. If the republicans were like the Democrats then that would be it, eye for an eye, and every Democrat would defend their payback.

Thank god republicans are better than that. Let the Democrats keep toying around and being all about poltics of destruction and division. Americans now don't have to go to an ultra blue area to witness first hand the evil known as the liberal Democrat, they are so blinded by their hate that they are exposing their true colors while they froth.

Oh boy. Can someone please provide Ms. Bachmann with an 8th grade civics book so that she can gain an understanding of the roles of the various branches of government? You'd think a U.S. congressman would know this. Apparently, knowledge of the Constitution isn't a requirement for being in congress. Evidently all you need is a $4700 hair and nail treatment and a fraudulent "doctor" husband.
