If Obama wants to save his Butt he should VETO the bill and Immediately impose the 14 amendment then let the house and senate take all their summer to TRY and pass something that might be well received by the citizens of this country.
Ed, the problem is if Obama does this, Republicans will try to impeach him or take it to the courts and then instead of this debt ceiling debate, we'll be having a constitutional debate about whether Obama is a "dictatorl", as the Repubs will certainly try to portray him that way. The debate about jobs will be lost once again, which is what the Repubs want to do. They want to keep distracting this administration from creating jobs so the unemployment rate will not improve so they can blame it on Obama. He d amned if he does and if he doesn't.
