70,000 jobs lost! Really??
Washington (CNN) - An oft-repeated statement that the Federal Aviation Administration's partial shutdown has forced the layoff of 70,000 construction workers is, at best, an over-simplification, and at worst, an exaggeration, according to the expert behind the number.
Democratic leaders, and even some Republicans, quoted the 70,000 number frequently this week to emphasize the serious consequences of the shutdown.

This just brings to life what has been going on in Congress, they have been doing nothing but blaming Obama. It has been to easy for the guys to shift blame instead of working on solutions.. The people sent these guys to Washington to get things done and they have all just passed the buck....Where are these guys on jobs, where were they on the debt issue, I just heard interviews after the fact. It is vey easy to blame the person at the top but the leadership in Congress and at the States level has been lack luster... Most of these Governers have ran these States in the ground, there response it's Obama fault... Getting old fast......
Can you imagine that. The Obozo administation using a ginned up study to lie to the American people. Kinda reminds you of the Obozocare scare tactics they used doesn't it. But according vice president "hair plug" I am a terrorist because I obeject to the incompetence, ineptness and corrution the current administration is putting out. The Republican Ran In 2010 On JOBS, and won Control of the House. where are the JOBS, they haven't even try. But they just lose 70,000 of them ,because they what to do away with Union. It shouldn't be up to the Republican or the Tea Party If people what Union. They are taking People Right away, It the People who should decide If they want to work for a Union or Not. Not the Republican or the Tea party. not only are 70,000 people are not working right now ,but America Is Losing 30 Million dollars a day, Or over a Billions dollar a month In taxes. And this Is the way Republican and the Tea Party save America money. It look to me they are Losing America Over a Billions dollars a month just because they want to do away with Union. And all they are doing Is Losing America Over a Billions dollars and are trying to take People right away. What ever happen to the U.S. Constitution and People right. You know the same Constitution the Republican and the Tea Party are all way saying that what they are going by. Just more LIES by the Republican and the Tea Party.

It should be noted that House Republicans did not try to negotiate. The FAA has been funded dozens of times since 2007 alone.
Suddenly. Funding the FAA is a problem for Republicans. Or is it really a problem for Delta Air Lines, who wants some laws changed? So that Delta can re-visit a court case concerning workers' rights to unionize, which Delta lost.
Is it just coincidence that the law changes in the bill are an exact fit for what Delta needs to win its' case? Is it coincidence that several regional airports, all of which are located in districts held by Democratic congressional members, are seeing cuts that could close them? Are we surprised that House Republicans are holding the American people hostage once again for the sake of corporations?

You would be surprised to learn that most Democrats endorse the idea of getting rid of waste. The problem with the bill is that Republicans have defined waste as regional airports located in Democratic districts. Pork going to airports in Republican districts isn't Pork.

They keep you proof time after time that they care nothing about jobs, they care nothing about seniors, they care nothing about students, they care nothing about regular middle income people, and care nothing about the poor. Since they were inaugurated in January 2010, please anyone name something they did for average americans, just 1 thing.
They taught job creation, and lower taxes for job creation..........we have neither, there isn't any major legislation impeding this, it is only for them to succeed in destroying the president at any cost, need more proof, look at the debt ceiling and what they did to the market which cost us $18million, this FAA thing is costing us $1billion, so in the past 5 days the GOP has cost the American tax payer 1.18 billion dollars which could have been used to put people back to work, yet they complained about a stimulus that actually did which was almost half in tax cuts for them..........please pay attention America, we can't make it if you don't. Lets say they win the 2012 election........all of the sudden the job flood gates will open up and we'll have 5% unemployment?.....get real. These people are crooks and show us with their ACTIIONS and INTENT that they are!
