Perry: Bernanke stimulus would be 'treasonous'
(CNNMoney) - It would be "treasonous" if Chairman Ben Bernanke tried to use Federal Reserve policy to stimulate the economy before the election, Texas Governor Rick Perry said at a campaign stop in Iowa.
During an appearance in Cedar Rapids, in what appeared to be a backyard with a child's slide, Perry invoked folksy language to explain what he'd like to do to Bernanke if the chairman decides to engage in more quantitative easing.

When will the media start to look a bit closer at Perry claims of how Texas is doing in regards to job growth and their economy? What people need to understand is that Perry has allowed the various energy/oil companies come in and run rampant with gas derricks all over the place!! In mostly poor areas of the city!! This is not to say the least of the environmental impacts from the fracking process that is used to drill for this stuff!!! I mean most of those homeowners living near those gas derrick are basically near or on top of bombs waiting to explode!!

Time for the US to face the fact that we have to work through unavoidable retrenching of the economy. There is no other way, and with all of our manufacturing sent off shore, the pain will be very long lived, because no one is going to do anything about corporate America sending our jobs, off shore.
We will NEVER recover from the fact all of our blue collar jobs, have gone off shore.
Really? The man who talked about Texas seceding from the United States and used federal stimulus funds to balance Texas's budget is saying, with a straight face, that a stimulus is treasonous?
Is this idiot for real? So now it's treasonous to try to fix the economy? Or is it treasonous to do anything that might not be in Rick Perry's best interest?
Please, Please, Please – GOP – nominate this fool. His defeat in the general would be best for America.
