NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is fed up with Washington.
And he is doing something about it.
Spurred by what he describes as a failure of leadership on the part of lawmakers, Schultz is mounting a one-man bull rush against a political culture that has "chosen to put partisan and ideological purity over the well being of the people."
FULL STORY
this will be fun to watch!
Starbuck's CEO: "Let's not give any money to DC!!! Yaaaaay! That'll teach 'em!"
Big Oil, Big Pharma, Insurance Industry et al.: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Not the brightest bulb on the tree, huh? You go right ahead...more influence for us then."
Freekin' space cadet. Seriously. Here's a hint, pal: The answer to GOP/Teatroll extremist corporate-whoring space cadetery is not donning a tinfoil spacehat and/or spherical fish tank over your head, slipping on mommy's dishwashing gloves and your galoshes and then joining them in the make-believe rocket ship.
Too bad there are way too many faceless corporations, especially the multinationals, and the Cult, er, Chamber of Commerce, that want to use their money like stealth weaponry to attack the poor and middle class. They'll ignore Mr. Schultz.
Good for Starbucks. Maybe after few more corpoations do this WE THE PEOPLE can tell the right-leaning Supreme Court to kiss our butts!!
Kudos to you Mr. Schulz!
Perfect.
Okay, what's Schultz real agenda, get new customers into Starbucks because sales are down. Seriously, he expects us to believe this? Is this the same Starbucks that closed around 900 stores leaving employees standing in the unemployment line adding stress to our economy?
Companies should contribute whatever they want to protect their coprorate interests from a huge and growing federal bureacracy that is more and more socialist with every passing year. Their employees jobs could hang in the balance if they go out of business.
I think I've just become a Starbucks fan!
So what is he specifically doing?
A-men, except I don't hold the president on the same level as republicans. I support the president 100%. In fact my only feedback to him is; get short in remarks, stand on principal/draw the line and stick to it. Your line is actually the middle where most sound mined americans stand. They think he is weak, the worst thing to do is under estimate someone as weak when they are not. I support this effort but the businesses who rely on the republicans to do their bidding are going to throw tons of cash at them thank to supreme court.
I'll be buying a cup of joe from starbucks!
Obviously been drinking way too much of his over priced motor oil tasting coffee. Or have they started putting liquor in it now?
I notice the paid republican/bagger shills on this blog DO NOT want their money source to dry up. LOL
This is long overdue. Of course there are the typical liberal comments that believe that this will only hurt the GOP. It's amazing how naive some liberals can be.
