Rove's Palin prediction

(CNN) - Karl Rove predicted Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is likely to run for president and will make her decision known soon.

Rove, the former top political adviser to President George W. Bush and co-founder of American Crossroads, a conservative political action committee, said Palin's upcoming trip to Iowa and recent web video are evidence she is gearing up for a run.

"I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd put a little more money that she gets in than if she doesn't," Rove told "Fox News Sunday."

If Palin, who was the vice presidential candidate on the 2008 Republican ticket, doesn't make a decision shortly, people will assume she is not running and withhold their support, Rove said.

"You can only tease so many times in the political process, and I think she is getting to the end of that," Rove said.

Palin has flirted with a White House bid for months, even launching a bus tour in early presidential contest states.

Most recently, she attended the Iowa State Fair on the same weekend as the high stakes Ames Straw Poll. The video her political action committee released Friday showcased her trip to the first-in-the-nation caucus state.

Palin returns to Iowa to address a tea party group on September 3rd.

She's not running. She has no reason to take the pay cut. And why do actual work when one can milk adoring fans of their hard earned money? No way she runs. But I'm betting every Democrat from Maine to California wishes she ran and won the GOP nomination.

    ZERO chance she will run.

Her fantasy bully pulpit would go up in flames with actual votes proving her unpopularity even among republicans.

Lol, this woman has been criticizing President Obama over his vacation. Really lady? So taking a vacation is apparently worse than quitting your job. Palin has been on a republican paid vacation for the last two years.

From a jobless quitting Gov. to the President of the powerful nation on earth????? Really!! Back off Sarah and stop testing people's IQ. We do not waste our time going to the voting boot and vote for someone without having a sounding reason to do so.

I wouldn't put too much stock on what Carl Rove has to says. He seems to making all kinds of predictions and most of them have not panned out. Sarah Palin has till October of 2011 to delcare if he she is going to run for President. If she does she is going to have a raise "Tons" of money every month. There are a lot of supporters who like Sarah Palin and think she can beat Barry Obama. I believe is she were smart she would will not run for President. The main reason is that she is making "Tons of Money" doing what she is doing. Her main goal should be being a thorn in Barry Obama's side. As for Carl Rove he would probably turn on Sarah Palin like he turned of Vallery Plain.

You would think that the GOP would be trying to win over some Independent voters! I guess Obama it will be for me. I was almost looking forward to possibly leaning right, but with these clowns...I rather take my chances with sticking with what we got than making it worst!

I hope Palin does run. I do not think she can win the Republican nomination. But would be great fun to watch the rabid left foam at the mouth over her campaign. I can tell you the Tea Party does not take the crazy rants and lies of the left seriously, no one with a rational brain does. When the loony left says the Tea Party are extremists, racists, terrorists, inciting violence and uneducated morons, we all just look at each other and laugh at how outrageous it all is. We take bets on what high crimes we will be accused of next. Though there is not much left to choose from. We figure as long as the crazed left is ranting and lying about us, we must be making a difference. And the Tea Party is fully committed to continue making a difference for the good of our nation.

Palin works for Fox "not really" News. Period. She not running. Fox is using her for a mouthpiece. If she was running, Fox would have dumped her like they did Gingrich and Huckleberry,er, Huckabee. Palin makes too much money duping a small group of people. She a legend in her own mind(less). But, it doesn't suprise me that CNN listens to Rove. I'd like to see the Justice Dept. investigate him on election fraud, for starters.

depends how much they pay her to disrupt and steal legitimate vote for a legitimate candidate, that is the ONLY reason she would or could run.

Anyone who votes for this train wreck is a fool. She will quit half way through her first 4 years because she will not be able to withstand the pressure of president.

The really good thing about all these Republicans running is they'll bring out all their idiocies/failures about each other without any help from the Democrats. We'll let them all devour each other and then the other non-politicians can hear the truth from their own party and not say the Democrats and fabricating all this. It's going to be fun to watch.

If she declares, then she loses her gig with Fox. Please Fox.....just fire her. She's doing nothing for your network.

It's hard to take Fox News seriously with her being on the payroll.

This insanity must stop. We have just experienced one incompetent in the White House, we surely do not want another. It is obvious that our political system is broken. First Obama, now Palin of Bachmann ? Give me a break . It is true we get the govenment we deserve. It is sad that the best days of the U.S.A. seem clearly behind us with no hope of a turn around.

In a way, as ridiculous as it is, I hope Palin does run. I really don't think she has much of a chance even though those who back her would totally love to have another Bush style "puppet" to control, her problem is that the people have now seen enough of her to clearly identify her for what she is, and that isn't anything desirable. Yet, she is the epitome of what the Republican Party has become, all that is wrong with it, and to have that become even more apparent likely would be good for public opinion and the voters.
