Rove's Palin prediction

(CNN) - Karl Rove predicted Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is likely to run for president and will make her decision known soon.

Rove, the former top political adviser to President George W. Bush and co-founder of American Crossroads, a conservative political action committee, said Palin's upcoming trip to Iowa and recent web video are evidence she is gearing up for a run.

"I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd put a little more money that she gets in than if she doesn't," Rove told "Fox News Sunday."

If Palin, who was the vice presidential candidate on the 2008 Republican ticket, doesn't make a decision shortly, people will assume she is not running and withhold their support, Rove said.

"You can only tease so many times in the political process, and I think she is getting to the end of that," Rove said.

Palin has flirted with a White House bid for months, even launching a bus tour in early presidential contest states.

Most recently, she attended the Iowa State Fair on the same weekend as the high stakes Ames Straw Poll. The video her political action committee released Friday showcased her trip to the first-in-the-nation caucus state.

Palin returns to Iowa to address a tea party group on September 3rd.

"getting their panties in a wad when you mention Sarah" Are you blind? They're all laughing and begging her to run. She's unelectable and will pull nearly ten percent of the GOP vote as an independent. She's Ralph Nader in a red dress and goggles.

All Palin is doing is riding around the country on other people's money. The new breed of media-assisted snake oil salesman, but all she peddles is the venom.

Sarah – I don't know what's going on in your head. I believe you are a sharp person with lots of drive. But you are not ready to run for president. You will be wasting a lot of people's time and money if you make this foolish decision. Run for Senate where you can have a large impact, but you can forget the presidency. Most Repubs I know will not vote for you, even the ones that admire you.

I expect that the Republican primaries will be a zoo right up to the convention.

No clear winner will emerge, one of the three carnival geeks will go into the convention with enough pledged candidates to prevent there from being a first-round clear winner, and when the dust settles, one of the three – Palin, probably, since she's got experience at the job – will wind up the VP candidate to a dull, unexciting, yet reasonably capable center-right candidate, probably Romney.

If Sarah Palin gets the GOP ticket, that would be the final nail in the GOP coffin. We thought the 2 hour, blocks-long lines waiting to vote for Obama in '08 were big .... wait until Palin gets on the GOP ticket. The lines waiting to re-elect Obama would dwarf the ones that got him in in '08. Certain re-election with many GOP Congress seats lost as well.

Did you guys know there's actually a huge wasp that attacks and paralyzes tarantulas with it's stinger? It then goes on to bury the spider, and lay eggs inside of it. When the little baby wasps hatch they devour the tarantula and fly away. This is the best comparison I could think of for the republican party (as the tarantula) and sarah palin (as the wasp). Our country is hopefully the person videotaping it to put the wasp v spider battle on youtube. Please don't elect massive spider killing wasps to be president. Thanks.

  16. Fool and their money

A fool and their money are soon parted. Go ahead and run and see how many fools contribute to the campaign only to see their money go to waste. She'll run. She's just trying to avoid as many debates and situations where she might have to speak unscripted. She knows she knows nothing and will be ripped to shreds by the media every time she makes a false statement. Her only hope it to throw her name in at the last minute and get votes from people who don't like the other choices, want to vote, and figure she's got the least chance of winning.

Oh please, she is still feeling the water folks, she knows there is zero chance she would ever even get into the primaries.

Her own party has issues with her, MOST of the nation has issues with her, she is just being her normal attention needing self. Riding in on her bus to mix things up a bit for the Repugs...after all her agenda is clear, she wants to stick in the arse of her party for putting her down. For finally admitting to her ton of short comings.

She wants to be president so badly she can taste it! And not becasue she loves this country, it is becasue she loves herself most. And she wants to be valadated secondly.

If Gov. Palin doesn't run, than Romney has this the nomination sealed. The problem is Romney's Wall Street connections really hurt him when it comes to rallying votes.

Governor Palin draws 1000 times the support that Romney does.
