Romney schedules jobs address

(CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will unveil a jobs plan in September, the former Massachusetts Gov. announced Monday.

The September 6 event in Nevada coincides with an expected speech from the president after Labor Day, where administration officials have said he will map out his plan to improve the economy.

The president's plan is said to include an extension of the payroll tax cut passed in January as well as spending on infrastructure development. A spokesman for the Romney campaign would not disclose any further details about his address.

Romney's announcement, made first on Fox News and later confirmed by the campaign and candidate via Twitter, is the latest effort by the GOP frontrunner to run against the president instead of his Republican rivals.

Lesson the first stimulus two years ago took a economy that was retracting at a 9% rate and brought it to a 4% growth that was unheard of in American history, it took a 800 thousand job lost which was projected to be a 10 million job lost a year and turned it into a 17 month private sector job gain. It took a financial disaster of our companies and made them some of the most prosperous companies in American history. The repugs talking points said that the stimulus did not work, what are the facts they are using. The economy is down now after 2 years of the stimulus. Now we need a major shot in the arm again. We need to tax every one making sure the money stay in this country so that every one can hold the money, Before the big corporation gets it and hoard it over seas. We need to modernize America's crumbling infrastructure so that people want to invest in America again. This project will employ over 4 million workers directly and many more indirectly. It will bring down our employment rates drastically. These people need to get behind this president and fight congress to allow this. And best of all the money will stay in America and not over china building their power even more powerful than us.

you mean Mitt isn't afraid that Obama will "steal" his idea for creating jobs, use it and get the economy going once again and thus get re-elected? I'll give him credit that at least he has the nads to put an idea out there, if indeed he does. So far the other 2012ers have said little to NOTHING about what they would do to get the economy moving once again, sans Bachmann's $2 a gallon gas promise, if she knows how to do this why not do it NOW? It has been said in many circles that conservatives and Republicans do NOT want the economy to get much better because that only helps the president, in other words let us suffer a buit longer until they get into control and save us. So much for Country before Party. So let's see what the ol' Mittster, whose state of Massachusetts was like 47th in job creation when he was governor there has in mind.

Hopefully he will explain why he was at the very bottom for job creation as Governor and why he could not create a job for himself in the last five years with all of his leadership and money.
