Perry gets big bounce, but race is still anyone's game

(CNN) - In less than six months Republican presidential candidates will face off in early critical caucus and primary states and if polls are any indication at this early stage, it's fair to say Rick Perry's recent bounce shows he could be a thorn in Mitt Romney's side.

But the field is still too unsettled to dismiss anyone or crown a front-runner.

If Silly Sarah jumped into the race, she'd steal Perry's thunder. It just goes to show how polls don't mean jack. This TEApublican nomination process is showing the public just how extreme they are.

  2. Lost in Texas FOREVER

wasn't a few monhts ago the leader of the GOP pack was DONALD TRUMP??? we all see what happened to that after he decided he was just showboating and not really running. The GOP loves the 'new guy in town" which shows me all you really need do is have some money and go negative on Obama and you're in like Flint. Plus being a little far out in right field doesn't hurt either.

The Republican candidate was likely going to win Texas in the electoral vote anyway. Ricky brings nothing to the table.

He's not going to win Florida because he's against Social Security. The old folk there will treat him pretty nasty. Latinos in Florida won't vote for Texas Govenor 6-shooter.

Perry won't win Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri. Labor is pissed off at all the assaults on workers. Even non-union professionals, many of whom GREW UP in union households, are turned off by the tactics of the GOP.

Yosemite Sam Perry will turn off more electoral votes than he attracts. Nominate him – PLEASE

either the gop will get its finger puppet in the white house or they will simply polarize the political process as they have done time and again. A .45 or a 9mm to the dome ends the same way, thats the reality of our situation. We are toast no matter who wins.

Sooner or later, people are going to notice the looming deficit facing Texas. Once they do, they will realize that by running for POTUS, Perry is cutting and running on a disaster on his watch. A disaster that he will try to lay at Obama's feet, and look like snake oil salesman in doing so. Be patient, folks. Perry won't last.

I love how the mainstream media picks winners and losers. Who made this guy the frontrunner? He just joined the race and he hasn't even participated in any of the straw polls or debates yet.

this idiot is a total flop....o.k, while perry now says he opposes the 2003 Medicare drug law because it expanded unfair liabilities his lobbyists claimed credit for routing a new annual subsidy of 47.5 million dollars through the law to pay undocumented illegal immigrants health care coverage. His friend Drew Maloney is in prison....this is what perry is...this guy gave 20,000 dollar contract to him.....o.k,

He's so "far out" he will have to circle the moon before he can return to Texas. On second thought, don't return, we'll
send you your paycheck, which by the way, you are not earning.

I don't know about the rest of you but that picture with him eating the corn dog did it for me. Every time I look at him now, I see that picture. I could NEVER take him seriously. That was just too disgustingly funny.

  11. The Greedy Old Pigs have lost their mind!

Perry is this month's version of Donald Trump, the next Great White Dope. Perry is the latest magical unicorn the GOBPbaggers want to ride into a fairytale wonderland full of subservient low cost peons serving ever wealthier masters. Sorry, teatards, but your fantasy is a nightmare to the rest of us.

Perry's high ratings are due to his close association with the republican culture of corruption. He is truly conservascum.
