Obama's housing scorecard
New York (CNNMoney) - In the days ahead, the Obama administration is expected to announce yet another initiative to help rescue the housing market.
Just what the new plan will entail is unknown, but the New York Times and CNBC have speculated that it might unveil a program that would open up refinancing to borrowers who owe more on their loans than their homes are worth, allowing them to take advantage of current low mortgage rates. Such a move would enable many borrowers to keep their homes by making their monthly payments more affordable.

I still do not understand as to how a bank gives loan when a person dose not have any jobs. First to fix it, congress needs to work on jobs. For this it has to relax some of the corporate taxes. And also needs to have a strong tax code, and levy who make more than 250k or more to generate revenue. Mountains will be melt if you start eating without producing any income. You can not do it. It is all chain linkage.....good luck, buddy...
My take on this is that if you can bail out Wall Street, you sure as hell can bail out Main Street!!!!

I can just hear it now. The GOP will look at this and say "no." cause it's not helping the rich or big business. Why help those middle class or poor people wth housing. They don't deserve a solialistic hand out from the government! Its the job of the GOP to destroy government, not help it!
"Open up refinancing to borrowers who owe more on their loans than their homes are worth"?! Why would any sane banker or homeowner want to refi a losing proposition? This takes "kicking the housing can down the road" to a new level. It only delays the inevitable and ultimate deflation of a decades-old housing bubble.

The Tea Party was founded in 2003 before the ned of Bush's first term to protest the government's wasteful spending. Might want to get your facts straight.
While that MIGHT be true – they sure were a "silent group" weren't they? They also didn't hold signs depicting monkeys, apes, blackface, Hitler and such. You might say they weren't too concerned then.

And bth, Women from CA, did you just happen to miss the last 4 years of Bush's presidency? He was treated worse than Obama ever was by both the media and the public. A white person would never get away with saying the things the CBC members are saying. Why is it that minorities only see racism when it comes from a white person? I can't imagine the percentage of whites who are racist is any higher than the percentage of racist blacks. Racism is wrong no matter where it's coming from and things won't change for minorities until they realize this
Blacks only seeing racism when it comes from whites. Really? IF you can read and you read my post – I started off saying he might have been too extreme. Having said that – I agree racism is racism no matter what and I support myself, always have so contrary to what republicans want to make believe – I am not looking for a handout.

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting
his way on raising the debt ceiling?
He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military
Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.
a. He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens
b. He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such
as Internet access away from violent inmates
c. He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of
unnecessary federal employees that he hired
d. He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's
frivolous gallivanting around
e. He did not threaten to not pay the senators and
representatives or any of their staff
f. He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare
recipients
g. He did not threaten the food stamp programs
h. He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid
i. He did not threaten to cut back on anything that
involves his base voters
The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!
Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful
country with his selfishness and his lies? His type of change is
killing our country.
He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.
Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time.
Vote Obama out of the Presidency in 2012.
