Palin meets diehard supporters on eve of big speech

Urbandale, Iowa (CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin greeted hundreds of her most diehard supporters in an Iowa restaurant on Friday evening, the night before she headlines a buzzed-about tea party rally on Saturday.

Enthusiastic Palinistas who trekked from places as far away as Dallas and San Diego for Saturday’s rally jammed into the Machine Shed, a popular restaurant in Urbandale, for a meet-up event organized by Conservatives4Palin, the online destination for all things Palin.

Many of them recognized each other from the Conservatives4Palin usernames or Twitter handles that were scribbled onto nametags slapped onto pro-Palin T-shirts.

Palin was met by a reporter from Radio Iowa as she and her husband Todd arrived at the event around dinnertime after driving out from Des Moines.

Asked to opine on the current field of GOP presidential hopefuls, Palin mischievously claimed that another candidate could still join the fray.

“Happy with the field of candidates,” Palin said. "I always think that there’s room for more, though, because spirited debate and more competition will allow an even better discourse and a more rigorous discourse that the public deserves.”

As she and her husband, Todd, entered the restaurant, they were mobbed by the crowd and showered with repeated chants of “Run, Sarah, Run!”

Dozens of admirers whipped out their smartphones and digital cameras to document the scene, while an editor back at Conservatives4Palin curated the flood of tweets and reporter dispatches coming out of the event.

Palin worked the space for nearly an hour, posing for pictures and signing autographs. She did not address the crowd, but California attorney Peter Singleton, the self-appointed Palin political guru in Iowa, rallied the troops.

“There is no one who has the political courage and vision of this woman,” he said. “If she runs I believe she will win the nomination and I will believe she will win the general election.”

The Palins and their staff left soon after and returned to their Des Moines hotel.

Run Sarah and make a fool out of your self, just like the rest of the republicans are and spread your hate and your lies.

Palinistas is a dog whistle for sandinistas! Wow! She's good isn't she? Gorsh! What an alternative to obama. We will regain the fiscal; moral and energy stability that we lost under obama. Down with abortion, no to homosexual marraige, no to racism, no to the progressive bias of the media. A brighter day looms ahead with palin.

BTW singleton, please don't show your ignorance. mcnasty didn't have a chance after running back to DC to save the country but once he picked this imbecilic moron his fate was that he would leave a legacy of hate, lies and this woman.
She failed as a beauty queen, she miserably failed as a vp candidate so forget her being president, she failed as a governor, she failed as a mother and she pretty much has failed in education and smarts!!

Hey Sorry Sarah your mantra is having an effect on your age and photos . You got to close to the camera yesterday and you wrinkles were pretty prevalent, Soon what might be approriate to describe your penchant to be the BELLE of the ball you might have to change your BILLBOARD to Pruneface Palin. That would be appropriate for a quitter like yourself.

  9. Anyway

The time deadline is nearing $arah.

Soon you'll have to say you're running or not. If you run, you'll make an utter fool of yourself and prove once again that you're not someone who belongs on the national stage, an even less as a genuine presidential candidate.

Or you'll blame someone or something (lamestream media, anyone?) for you not entering the race and you'll try to stay relevant as if you have the intelligence to comment on world affairs or serious issues in the United States. But that will wither sooner or later and your horribly extended 15 Minutes will finally end. (Paris Hilton, anyone?)

    Damn you John McCain.

Why shouldn't she run? She knows she will get a media pass on all of the unethical and possibly illegal things she has done in the past. I find it utterly amazing that not one of the MSM journalists is willing to delve into her deceitful behavior, beginning with the facts surrounding her fake pregnancy. Why is this huge hoax so toxic? It is blatantly obvious that there are serious questions here – and huge implications if the McCain camp was complicit in covering up the truth. Seems like it would be one hell of a story for the journalist who breaks it – the background work has already been done and it would be so simple...

I can not wait 2012 to come and send this hillbilly where she belongs and never come back. There is nothing she is contributing to those who are hurting, just only to add more pain to them!

Please don't run we don't need another loser in the race we have enough already.

Save you money and support someone don't make yourself look bad and take votes away from someone who can beat Obama because you really don't have a chance along with about five other people running.

A Repub concerned for our Country listen to the majority of the voters and they are saying don't run.

Sarah will let EVERY debate pass – She will jump in the race at the LAST MINUTE – Collect more $$$$$$ so she can travel the WORLD – Bow OUT when she has FAILED in any one debate she finally participates in; blame the BOW OUT on her family – she will then rally behind another far-RIGHT candidate, possibly Bachmann and they will ALL LOSE in the end!!!

While Sarah believes she is HELPING the RIGHT's cause, she's destroying it – along with Perry, Bachmann, Santorum and now MITTens (because MITTens is a "flip-flopper" and he goes where he THINKS the grass is greener!!

    Obama/Biden 2012!!
