Hoffa: 'Take out' congressional Republicans

Washington (CNN) – With President Barack Obama en route to the same Detroit, Michigan event, Jim Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters, referred to congressional Republicans by saying, "let's take these sons of bitches out."

"Everybody here has a vote," Hoffa said Monday. "If we go back and we keep the eye on the prize. Let's take these sons of bitches out and give America back to America where we belong."

The event was part of Obama's Labor Day plans to spend the day with "workers and their families as well as discuss his bipartisan efforts to create jobs and strengthen our economy," the White House said in a press release.

On Sunday, Hoffa called American companies that do not spend their capital in the United States unpatriotic.

"I think the president should challenge the patriotism of these American corporations that are sitting on the sidelines," Hoffa said on CNN's "State of the Union."

Hoffa has presided over the Teamsters' 1.4 million members since 1999.

It's time for Legal Action against Hoffa for his remarks. He has clearly made terroristic threats against Millions of Americans. What does he mean exactly with " Take us Out " ? Does he mean to kill us? Beat us up? How is Obama affiliated with this man?

If you had the weekend off...thank the unions....if you are off today with pay...thank the unions. If you have employer health care...thank the unions...there are so many things the unions have done to make every workers life better.

Words of wisdom: If you pay people poorly...they do not have money to spend to help the economy. Wake up people! We are the ones that grew the economy...not CEO"s.

Actually, the full quote which this ticker suspiciously failed to include was:

"President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,"

So much for a new era of civility.

There is something to be said for supporting the country that the company started in. I think that these companies put profits ahead of anything representing morals. They don't look inot the working conditions of their factories or anything else to protect their workers, do they? Bring the jobs here in the US so that you know the best thing is being done and the rule of law is observed. Without the rule of law, these companies would not be able to enforce their patents.

The choice of language may not be appropriate but the intent certainly is. They NEED TO GO. They have done nothing but obstruct and bring down progress since January. If America wants to move forward – people have got to show up at the polls and vote these oppressionists OUT. They do not nor have they ever had progress in mind. They are mindless, meanlingless little people with only one desire and that is to see America fail under this president. Please let's get these people OUT of public office and vote responsible patriots in so we can continue to move out of this forest left to us by the republicans.

Wait a minute. THIS is OK? This kind of rhetoric is OK and not condemned by CNN because it is coming from a democrat labor leader? Wouldn't this be chastised by the media if it were to come from a conservative? Isn't THIS the kind of language that will lead to violence? But, it is OK when it is coming from the Left?

Hoffa should be arrested. He is inciting violence against elected officials. He has a history of violence and organized crime. The fruit doesn't fall far from the mafia tree. He is an embarrassment to all Italians. He makes Jersey Shore freaks look intelligent. Shame on Obama for not condemning this threat of violence.

Our economy will never be back on track until we get back balance between workers and the wealthy/corporations. Power used to be equally distributed between the two because unions were strong and were able to stand up for workers rights including affordable healthcare and livable wages. Now that the wealthy and corporations have a hugely disproportionate amount of power, things will continue to go downhill for working Americans. Wages will continue to stagnate and even decrease (many wealthy/corporate interests even want to get rid of the minimum wage), companies will continue to put the burden of healthcare on employees, and some companies are even attacking employee vacation time (for workers who even have it at all). If unions were are strong as they once were, this would not be tolerated. Companies are simply taking the money they make by doing these things to workers and handing it to their already wealthy executives. It is ridiculous. Meanwhile, working people are struggling and so is the economy because the majority of people (the working people, not the wealthy) do not have the disposable income to keep demand up. Without demand companies won't hire. If you give them tax breaks, the money will go into the pockets of the executives. They will not hire no matter what until demand returns. Demand will not return until working Americans are not so stretched by stagnant wages and increasing healthcare premiums. Unions stand up for working Americans plain and simple. If you are a working American and you buy into the wealthy/corporatist attacks on unions you are a complete idiot and you are hurting your own future.

Well, so much for a "more civil" dialog. The hypocrite in chief came on aftward, and not a word refuting this stupid statement. The Great Uniter is a big joke.

BTW, CNN. Why isn't this on your front page? Sure would have been if it had been one of the GOP candidates. God help me, I hate hypocrites.

Yesss... that's it. Pres. Obama can't be blame for economy if he can't sign a "Jobs Bill" into law. The Republicans have block and gutted programs that will help this economy to grow. Now the American People must stand up and get these Republicans out of congress.

VIOLENT RHETORIC from Obama's crowd. The "new tone" demanded by Democrats - yet this hateful, violent-toned rhetoric is what they wallow in, and bellow out any chance they get. The Dems led by Obama himself are the biggest pack of self-serving liars and violence-instigators around. They're probably organizing a crime-spree flash mob even as I write.

correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the progressives who said the Tea Party was using inflammatory rhetoric?
So, threatening war and threatening to kill Tea Partiers, that's not inflammatory?
Fine. Y'alll just come right on ahead then.
