Giuliani: “I could beat Obama…”

(CNN)-Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani thinks he could throw President Barack Obama out of office — that is, if a presidential election were held right now.

Giuliani told CNN’s Piers Morgan Wednesday, “If Barack Obama remained roughly where he is now, sure, I think I could beat him.”

He sought the 2008 GOP nomination for president, but Tuesday told a gathering at the National Press Club that he would only run again if the GOP became “desperate.”

And in an interview airing on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” Giuliani continued, “But I think, you know, three or four Republicans could beat him right now given how weak he is and how his approval numbers have pretty much dipped below 40 percent.”

The former mayor, known for serving New York City through 9/11, admitted that he’d still be tempted to seek the Republican nomination in 2012, “If I thought that we couldn’t beat Obama with the candidates that we had.”

“If I think we can’t, if people are refusing to take up some of the challenges that are out there which include really dealing with spending — because if the next president doesn’t have the courage to deal with entitlement spending along with everything else — and particularly health care — cause that’s really the key — then we’re not straightening out the problems in our economy. And somebody’s got to have the courage to step up and talk about that.”

Giuliani is a big bald fraud. He couldn't bet an egg. All he can try to do is run on 9/11 against the guy who got Bin Laden.

Giuliani is a useless, two-faced loud mouth.
The guy cheats on his wife, shows no remorse for doing so, and then he marries his mistress.
His own children didn't seem to support his previous presidential run – so why should anyone else?

That's the FOCUS from ALL Republicans. IT is to destroy and beat Obama, NOT help the country. I have served 21 years U.S Army for my country and this is the treasonous display my country presents to my commander and chief, my country is terribly horrible, hateful and down right ignorrant. We are mentally weak and to think that we would cut education. We all see what some of us are doing to our president yet we let racial bigotry and party affiliation curb our thoughts. DIVIDED WE WILL FAIL and when it happens we can all just suffer the consequences. While I served to protect this country some serve to destroy it to return to power (disgraceful). The republicans are trying to create doubt in hopes that the Dumb American people will say it is equally the fault of the republicans and democrats, ultimately putting the blame on the leader (Obama) thus giving them their power. They have NO interest in helping the president, if he succeeds it will hurt them.

He could beat Obama in an election if the president was dead or convicted. Giuliani doesn't understand enough and is too much of an ideolog to really get the job done well. Obama would do better if the Congress would really sit down and stop being such ideologically driven.

Almost anyone could beat Obama. He has been unmasked as a hardcore Marxist. But you are not the man to do it. We do not need a moderate who lost in 2008 in the race.

Yeah right..Mr. 911. Someone please call 911 for real. I think Giuliani is in need of an ambulance to the nearest psy ward. Pleezzze. Why do people invite such a washed uped has been on their show is puzzling. Pier Morgan, don't tell me you have ran out of guest already. This is a joke. Sorry, I'm going to bed.

Why would anybody with a shred of intelligence and dignity ever vote for a Repulikkan, let alone this mush mouth?

He must have totally lost it. Democrats generally won't vote for a Neoconservative, and Republicans generally won't vote for a known cross-dresser. Not a chance Julie Rudianli.

Really Rudy? You still think you can squeeze political influence out of repeating "9/11" over and over again?

Giulaini is a blow hard that couldn't beat his way out of a wet paper bag. His concern is not for the welfare of America but only his own.

Please RUN Rudy, please!! Maybe then, once and for all, you will be forced out of the public eye. "Entitlement Spending" is the newest of the lame buzzwords the GObTP are going to spin for the next while. There are rich and there are poor. We all fit on that continuum somewhere. There will ALWAYS be rich and poor. The Party of NO want that gap to widen and to increase the number of POOR. Should they be successful in doing this, somebody has to take care of these underserved, marginalized souls. Is that the Republican way, NO. What goes around comes around! Soon to become the Party of NOTHING!
