We can get it done, but we have to make sure that the Afghan people increasingly take responsibility for their security going forward.

9:42 p.m. ET–Paul: As long as this country follows that idea, we're going to be under a lot of danger. This whole idea that the whole Muslim world is responsible for this, and they're attacking us because we're free and prosperous, that is just not true.

On your Web site, yesterday, you said that it was our actions that brought about the actions of 9/11. That is irresponsible. Someone who is running for the president of the United States in the Republican Party should not be parroting what Osama bin Laden said on 9/11. We are not being attacked because of our actions.

But what was driving me was making a difference in young people's lives. I will use an executive order to get rid of as much of Obamacare as I can.

8:22 p.m. ET–Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum: Well, the question is who is with me? Because I've been out here talking about - you want to talk about courage to tell the truth, Governor? I was out in 1994 running against a Democratic incumbent in a campaign managed by James Carville, and I went out and talked about Social Security reform.
8:22 p.m. ET–Q:Senator Santorum, when it comes to Social Security, are you with Governor Romney or Governor Perry?
8:21 p.m. ET–Gingrich: I just want to make two simple points about Social Security and how you save it. The first is, you get back to a full employment economy, and at four percent unemployment you have such a huge increase in funding, that you change every single out year of projection in a positive way. The second is if you are younger - everybody who is older and wants to be totally protected, fine, no change. If you're younger and you would like a personal account, you would control instead of the politicians.
8:21 p.m. ET–Huntsman: I don't think anything should be off the table except the drama. To hear these two go at it...all I know is we're frightening the American people...the fixes are there.

8:19 p.m. ET Perry: The issue is are there ways to move the states into Social Security for employees or retirees. Rather than scare seniors, it's time to have a legitimate conversation in this country about how to fix the program.
8:17 p.m. ET Perry: If you're asking if they did the right thing 70 or 80 years ago, I'm not going to agree with that. But the question is do you believe it should be ended as a federal program?

But the idea is we've not had the courage to look Americans in the face...look them in the eye and say this is a broken system...it's been called a Ponzi scheme by those long before me...but it needs to be fixed.

My question is for Congressman Ron Paul. You recently said in this debate that you plan on cutting eduation. As the Secretary to the Florida Federation of TeenAge Republicans and a recent graduate of Florida's public school system I believe that the United States education system cannot possibly take anymore cuts. My question is where do you see the justification in cutting from our education system at the federal level?
What would you do about the control the EPA has over businesses?
What will you do to stop the industrial influence over the FDA that is attacking our liberty to choose the foods and nutritional products we choose and consume, partially through a war on our small farm farms including raw milk??
In the past canidates have been acused by the public of "buying an election". Do you think there should be a limit on how much can be spent on a campaign? How much?

Do you think a limit on campaign spending would make elections more competative for multiple candiates?
Why did Michelle Bachman get to not answer what she wold do with the Republican young person who chose not to insure himself and now needed life saving medical care.
"Yes!" ...my favorite comment since, "You Lie!"...you've got to be kidding me. Assuming Ron Paul's logic, why would anyone purchase healthcare if the church hospital is going to take care of us anyway...isn't that socialism? Disease doesn't disciminate, accidents aren't planned...we have to pay for what we expect. Forget it, why am I even taking the TEA party seriously!

What would you do to remove the work visas that are in the U.S. today, that have displaced U.S. citizens in their jobs??
The U.S. citizen is on unemployment and the foreigner has their job!
How will any of these candidates lower crime rates and reverse the cycle of simply locking people up and increasing the size of our prison population, which far exceeds any other country in the world a horrifying fact considering our population.
Why have a debate...when nobody will answer a direct question...just give them 10 minutes to speak their minds and go home...oh, commercials.
What a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" – if one of these people becomes the next President, I'm going back to Germany, where I have "social" NOT "socialized" medicine, where the State takes care for its weak, old, sick and poor. The rich can afford it, the poor are on medicaid. Mr. Paul is a jerk if he denies Americans the right of free healthcare. It works quite well in Canada, I know first hand.

Many Americans are becoming more environmentally conscious and looking for green jobs. A carbon credit system could offset the cost of renewable and bio energy while improving our energy independence. If you flat taxed fossil fuel companies to pay for the advancement of second generation bio-fuels refineries and get America back to work. My question is how would you improve our energy independence while reducing our global warming footprint?
If you received firm intelligence that Ayman Al-Zahwahiri (New AQ #1 and 9/11 co-planner) was deep inside Pakistan, would you send in commandos to capture or kill him?
Regarding tax cuts for the middle class...it was mentioned that tax on interest, dividends and capital gains would be removed. I have none of the above so where would a middle class tax break be for those like me??
Ok, so a state can require car insurance, but cannot require health insurance! How's that?
No person born within the legal borders or territories of the United States shall be a U.S. citizen, unless at least one of that persons biological parents is a legal U.S. citizen, or if neither parents are U.S. legal citizens, both are in the legal process of becoming a U.S. citizen, in which case that child’s citizenship will become active upon the date that the parents citizenship becomes legal.

You started out so well with asking everyone questions evenly. What happened? Did someone tell you to ignore Dr. Paul and Herman Cain? I am tired of listening to talking points and headlines from Perry and the repeating like a mocking bird of Bachman. Solutions not headlines, or is the American electorate too stupid to understand people like Paul, Cain, Huntsman and Newt?
