Bloomberg: Jobs crisis could spark riots here

New York (CNNMoney) - New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is worried that high U.S. unemployment could lead to the same kind of riots here that have swept through Europe and North Africa.

"You have a lot of kids graduating college, [who] can't find jobs," said Bloomberg, during his weekly radio show on Friday. "That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."

Anyone that puts faith in Corporations is sadly naive or has had their head up their butts for the last 30 yrs. That has been tried and failed miserably. Those that read other then Republican blogs and listen to Limbaugh know this. Sad to see such misinformed individuals posting for ideologies that helped bring this country economically in the world standing.

POLS in Amerca have known for years that you can only squeeze the "lower classes" so much before they will take to the street. When you have lost everythimg and have nothing more to lose all it takes is one incident to light off that spark. Are we in America above rioting? I think not.

If you are one of the brow beaten Republicans that tout the words "socialism" or "class warfare", then you better go check the balance in your bank account because chances that you are just one major illness and a few pay checks away from financial ruin. The republican and the real power brokers of this country have been coasting off your arrogant ignorance for decades. Just because you eat grub that looks better than the dog that lives next door to you does not mean that you have arrived. That's right. So if you're a doctor, lawyer, accountant, or any type of business owner, you have not been the target of the democratic party's call to even out the system by way of taxing the upper 2 to 3 percent of income earners in this country. These are the people who are absolutely so rich and powerful that you never hear their name spoken, never hear about them on the news and they sure don't sit next to you in traffic because they are busy jetting back and forth between their companies and their own islands. You are guilty of not asking the right questions and assuming that because the Republican party obscurred the facts for you, that some how you were actually well-off enough for anyone to care. Not so. Have they sent you your club card yet?

They would be rioting because corporate America is sitting on 2 trillion in cash and want more before they feel safe enough to invest. Also, everyone can see its not shared pain; the rich are making record profits while the median income has gone in the opposite direction and unemployment is stagnate. The figures are amazing…. Of the record profits 88% have gone to the top while 1% went to employees. Greed has taken over and the bottom line rules, they proved it the last time they had a tax holiday and took all the tax free money they had stashed overseas and cut jobs instead of hiring like they promised. Only the stupid would blame Obama while corporate executives and Wall Street are making record profits. 14 months is a long time to play politics while things continue to get worst.

government didnt cause businesses to build factories in china, gov. just made it easier thru trade deals that let companies fire American tax-paying worker/consumers and hire non-tax paying communist chinese workers who dont shop at local USA small business owners. Talk about un-American! Hope you and tea party mike and wiredwierd get fired as paid GOP posters. How did i know you were on the GOP payroll? Easy. Nobody could be as stupid as your posts would indicate you are.
