(CNN) - Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, once favored to be a potential 2012 GOP presidential candidate, described the country's economic situation as "urgent."
"What's troubling me most is it's not just our economy at stake, I think it's the whole American prospect," Daniels told CNN's Piers Morgan on Wednesday.

It's a shame that Governor Daniels is blaming all the economic problems on Obama when Bush made America bankrupt by his stupid wars. My question is how many jobs did Bush create in 8 years with all his tax cuts. The only thing the republicans don't care about is the American people and the media especially CNBC Kudlow are brainwashing Americans to think that everything is Obama's fault.
Thank you Mr. Piers for your relatively unbioused interviews and questioning and standing up to the liars.
Devistating is what the last 3 years have been. Hope and Change went very very wrong. To stay the course at this point is insanity.
Mitch is a Palin clone at this point. Yapping on the sidelines with no cajones to get in the race
This guy has ZERO credibility. He was on Bush's economic team and he said just the other day that he doesn't think the wars added to the debt! Next!
It's such a shame that the only Republican out there with a measureable IQ and maturity had to bow out of the race. I'm not a big fan of Obama, but I will vote for him simply because there is no one left in the GOP field who isn't a power-hungry drooling idiot. They don't care one lick about the country; they just want the office
With Bush, Mitch helped create the mess. I watched Mitch on the Daily Show last night, and he was exposed as just another republican lying hypocrite.
