Cheney on Powell: He got 'sandbagged'

(CNN) - Former Vice President Dick Cheney fired back at criticism made by former Secretary of State Colin Powell about Cheney's handling of post-9/11 intelligence Thursday during an interview with CNN Chief National Correspondent John King.

"He's the one that went to the United Nations after he personally had worked for days, going over all of the intelligence, and made the presentation at the U.N. It turned out to be all flawed intelligence," Cheney said. "If somebody got sandbagged, it was Gen. Powell."

Yes, Powell got sandbag. I think that Cheney helped with that. He wanted war so bad in Iraq that he would have helped get that started.

And yet, Mr. Cheney, you still have not said "We made a mistake."

Wow, and all the wrong information Powell got from Cheney and his people, that was all Powell's fault too. I guess that's what he gets for thinking that the vice president of the United States would tell him the truth.

If Powell got "sandbagged" by bad Intel, it was the Intel that was generated by Cheney's direction.

Nice how Darth Cheney ignored that he and his lackeys were the ones feeding Powell the phony "facts" that formed the basis for Powell's UN speech.

" It turned out to be all flawed intelligence"

I'm sure that must have come as a complete surprise to Mr Cheney.
