(CNN) - Democrat Earl Ray Tomblin will continue serving as West Virginia’s governor after narrowly defeating Republican businessman Bill Maloney in a special election Tuesday.
With 100% of precincts reporting, Tomblin received 49.4% of the vote to 47.2% for Maloney, according to unofficial results from the West Virginia Secretary of State’s office.

Washington (CNN) – Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone, one of the major donors who was pushing New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to run for president, has now signed on as a financial supporter for Mitt Romney, a Romney campaign aide and a spokesman for Langone told CNN.
Langone made his decision after Christie announced earlier Tuesday he would not seek the Republican presidential nomination.

(CNN) – Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney opened a town hall in Florida Tuesday by hitting the incumbent president on his leadership skills-but he also didn't pull any punches from GOP rival Rick Perry.
Romney said President Obama is "too heavy" on the nation's "shoulders" and criticized the president's leadership as "weighing down free enterprise."
