'Joe the Plumber' to be Rep. Plumber?

(CNN) - Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber," has taken steps toward launching a bid for a House seat in Ohio.

Wurzelbacher filed candidacy papers with the Federal Election Commission on Friday, indicating he would run as a Republican from the state's 9th district.

"Joe the Plumber" emerged on the national stage during the 2008 presidential campaign when he pressed then-Sen. Barack Obama over his plan for small business growth. The then-Republican presidential ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin quickly capitalized on the exchange. Wurzelbacher, who it was later revealed was not a licensed plumber, appeared at campaign events with the GOP nominees.

Since the election he has attempted to capitalize on his notoriety and wrote a book in 2009 called, "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream."

The Democratic-leaning northern 9th district includes parts of Toledo. On the Democratic side, Reps. Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur will face each other in an incumbent-versus-incumbent primary, the result of Congressional redistricting.

Well, they forot to include " foreign correspondent" and songwriter, as well. He got a gig reporting from Israel for some wacko-right website, and he took a stab a writing some songs ( I forget which country artist said he was pretty good). I guess Mr. Wurzelbacher wants to continue being a professional novelty act. He'll fit in well with the rest of the Tea Party freaks like Representative Walsh from IL: you rememeber him, the one who owes about 110 K in back child support. He and Joe can talk about what its like to not fulfill basic obligations to family and country, and which is worse for your image after you've been exposed to the world for being a hypocritical cretin.

This is just how whacked the Right is...that they think they can put this guy on a ticket and win. What's scary is that if he DID win, the Right would have no problem with a guy in office who is a fraud and half a moron.

Here is what happened; as a plumber, he went to do the job into one of the Republican's House.
The plumber complained his business is way down and he have no other means to pay his bills.
The House owner advised the plumber, "Since most American they know you, you must run for Republican and you will make easy Money, just like running talk show. That's how most people got there...".

HUmmmm..., just like a talk show.
It is TRUE. Bad economy is good for politicians. They don't go bankrupt, since they got a lot to Talk!

Well let's make sure that he's really a citizen to be running for public office, because didn't it turn out that he wasn't even a plumber? How about those taxes....are they paid up?

Well, I guess after failing to buy that plumbing business he was never going to be, failing as a war correspondent, and failing to be an unlicensed plumber the guy whose name isn't actually Joe can try to be famous as a political candidate.

surely the people of Ohio aren't THAT STUPID! They have enough problems right now with their govenor and the Speaker of the House than to be presented by a guy who cashed inon 15 mins of fame, lying about being a plumber, and not paying his taxes.

i still blame Mccain for this idiot and for Palin. The republican party is a friggin Circus act that will never be duplicated. This is hillarious to watch. My neighbor downstairs from me is seriously considering running for president. And she is on some kind of government aid. She is planning to be on the republican ticket. OMG!!! She doesn't even realize she's calling her own party a freak show... She smokes, she moved from a trailer, and she's a nasty stringy hair white lady who loves young black men with their pants down to their ankles. But she thinks if Palin, Bachman, Gingrich, Perry and Cain have a chance, so does she.. How ridiculous.!!!!

I agree. The Right keeps plummeting to new lows. Imagine unearthing this fake mouthpiece from the past and trying to run him for office. Then again, maybe the same eejits that filled the House with Rethugs last November will be on hand to vote for him.
