'Joe the Plumber' to be Rep. Plumber?

(CNN) - Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber," has taken steps toward launching a bid for a House seat in Ohio.

Wurzelbacher filed candidacy papers with the Federal Election Commission on Friday, indicating he would run as a Republican from the state's 9th district.

"Joe the Plumber" emerged on the national stage during the 2008 presidential campaign when he pressed then-Sen. Barack Obama over his plan for small business growth. The then-Republican presidential ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin quickly capitalized on the exchange. Wurzelbacher, who it was later revealed was not a licensed plumber, appeared at campaign events with the GOP nominees.

Since the election he has attempted to capitalize on his notoriety and wrote a book in 2009 called, "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream."

The Democratic-leaning northern 9th district includes parts of Toledo. On the Democratic side, Reps. Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur will face each other in an incumbent-versus-incumbent primary, the result of Congressional redistricting.

Something he and his hero (Palin) have in common...working harder to cash in on their 15 minutes of fame than they've ever worked before. And neither of them is qualified for the office they've discussed running for.

He is uneductaed and completely unqualified. He couldn't run a small pumbing business or pay his 1500.00 and change in back taxes. By all means, send this man to D.C. !

The perfect GOP candidate... a plumber and don't forget that the GOP is well known to produce 'high quality' candidates. Who can forget the infamous roach killer Tom Delay.

If this guy even gets two votes (his own and some other halfwit's) it's a good measure of the state of the nation.

I hope that by now, Joe the Plumber, is more aware of whose interest the Republican Party serves – – – and it ain't plumbers! They have such disdain for the working man, for teachers and firefighters, for police officers and grocery store clerks, for the people they expect to pay for the huge tax cuts for the wealthy while dismantling the Social Security program that those workers paid into for decades! As for our soldiers, putting their lives on the line, Republicans only use them for props but offer nothing but program cuts to their medical needs! And then they disrespect them just because they're gay? President Obama addressed they're needs for PSTD treatment and for job training. Joe, if you really want to run for office, ask yourself whose interest of being served.

I said it all the along: the boy's contracted Palinitis. He's been talking funny, watching everything Sarah Palin s'been doing. and he goes on and on how smart that woman is ever since she didn't get elected, the clothes she's wearing, the places she's going to, he is beside himself. and now he's trying something real silly, gosh, he was never really fully loaded upstairs, but this takes the cake.

Good idea, now pass your message onto tax cheats like Tim Geithner (United States Secretary of the Treasury appointed by Obama) and Charlie Rangle (House Ways and Means Committee).

Why not? It is evident that anyone can run as a Republican, all they need to do is play to emotions and con the people – creditability really isn't a requirement, ability to excite is.
