Senate standoff stalls ambassadorship before state dinner

(CNN) - State visits for foreign leaders are meant to signify the importance the U.S. president places on the relationship with a particular country.

Such is the case for South Korea, whose president, Lee Myung-bak, arrives in Washington later this week for a state visit. Lee's arrival comes on the heels of a free trade agreement with Seoul being sent last week to Congress for final approval.

The GOP/Teatrolls will do ANYTHING to embarass Obama and create opportunities for themselves to claim that Obama failed. A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. They know it. They'll deny it to your face, but they know exactly what they're doing and will laugh about it and plan it further behind closed doors. Dems and liberals know it. We can see it clear as day. For the GOP/Teatrolls, the past 3 years have had nothing to do with governing and making the right choices for the country. It has ALL...every single stinking second of it....been about preventing effective governance and making the right choices for their partisan interests, and ONLY their partisan interests. The only people for whom this hasn't sunk in...this blatant and obvious fact of the GOP's/Teatrolls' behavior over the past 3 years...are either in a coma or some other vegetative state or, perhaps, there are still a few brain damaged fools in the MSM who actually believe the false equivalencies their very rich, very giant corporate masters are paying them to spew.

I'll give them this: When the GOP/TP decides they REALLY want to screw things up, they really do it. It figures that it would be a Republican (kyl) from Arizona- they really are a special brand!

I am convinced now more than ever that these tea bagging republicans are only in it for their own election, defeating Obama because he stands in their way, and helping their rich friends become richer. Republicans do not care about the general public and are happy to see those who are not fortunate enough to be rich to just die.
