Cain offers possibilities for his VP

(CNN) - GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain laid out his key criteria for picking a running mate, and detailed how he would go about selecting key advisers in the White House should he win the presidency, in an interview with radio host Steve Gill.

Cain even went so far as to name specific people he says embody his vision of leadership and who he would consider offering roles in his administration. Among the possible contenders are Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina.

The GOP candidate and former CEO of Godfather's Pizza also offered praise to his opponent Newt Gingrich, saying: "I am going to call upon Newt Gingrich to assist me at some point some way because he brings so much knowledge and insight to this whole [political] process, but more importantly, to the problems we face in this country."

So what criteria does Herman Cain consider crucial for potential advisors? "First" said Cain, "someone who understands problem solving and leadership the same way that I do. You know, there may be different styles of leadership, but there's still only one formula for successful leadership."

Also important: eagerness to surround oneself with smart people, willingness to "challenge the system," and extensive experience in one's given field.

When asked if he would prefer a running mate with experience in government to balance out his private sector background Cain was equally clear, stating: "I would probably look for someone who has had that in-DC experience, experience in Congress or whatever the case may be. But not so much that they're going to say 'here's how we have to do it.'"

Cain doesn't know diddly about representative government. He's used to private sector dictatorships, where the boss decides everything, based not on what is best for the employees, but what is best for the company's financial bottom line. That would spell disaster for our nation and her people because it would only lead to the rich getting richer end the poor getting poorer and our nation going down the tubes in the name of the Almighty Buck.

Funny that this guy thinks that the Republicans will choose him as their nominee. Anyone tell him he is delusional about being a black Republican and being selected to run for President? Did he forget that Southern racist Republicans will never allow this to happen no matter what the polls show.

Mr Cain wanting to include Gingrich and DeMint scares me. We would be turning this country over to religious fanatics and the wealthy who do not care about anyone or anything except protecting their own wealth.
If things go wrong they are quick to blame everyone else. Mr Obama is being blamed for the two wars that Mr Bush started. Mr Obama has also been criticized for the way he got bin Laden and other terrorists. Had Mr Bush been able to do these things we would have heard nothing but praise from the GOP.
    This is pathetic.

Look at the credentials of the person in the White House now. Cain looks to be extremely qualified by comparison.

As a Dem. in SC, I suggest you look closely at ANY candidate that would consider Demented Demint as a VP! The only good thing that has come to SC since the mid-terms was hearing Demented won't seek re-election.

Herman Cain = Classic Uncle Remus, Uncle Ben, Uncle Tom who thinks that by putting down his own race, somehow he'll shine in the eyes of bigots. Mr. Cain, you're no Colin Powell and you will never get the black vote. We would prefer to remain "brainwashed" than vote for you or anybody like you.

That's what they said about America 3 years ago. They were wrong then too. If Herman Cain shows Republicans he has the best ideas, vision for the country and leadership capability, he can win the nomination. So far so good.

Cain looks like the delusional lunatic that he is. Cain can't carry Obama's jock strap, nor his socks, nor his shoes, nor his necktie, etc., etc. The GOP is desparate and pathetic and it shows in the candidates they have running for POTUS. LOL! What a joke!
