Latinos to protest Obama's immigration policies

(CNN) - Latino activists said Monday they are planning a national "day of action" to protest President Barack Obama and demand an end to a controversial program involving local officials in immigration enforcement.

Actions are scheduled for Tuesday in 10 U.S. cities, including Atlanta, New York, Houston and San Francisco.

They would be better protesting the extremist states of Arizona and Alabama and my own state Georgia for their horrible law. All those people that support this laws. I hope you are going to get out in the fields to pick the fruits and vegetables. The price of which has already increased because of these laws. Oh don't forget supporters of these laws to have your kids ready and willing for their summer jobs on the farm picking the rice patties of Alabama and the sugar cane fields of Louisiana. They are going to have so much fun.

Only in America can outlaws stage protests against enforcing the law in the streets of American cities and the media picture them as mistreated.

Uhh Latinos, this country is the U.S. of America, not Mexico or South & Central America. You all just want Open Borders & Amnesty while Americans are paying dearly for Millions of Illegal trespassers. If Legal, assimilate and become an American, if Illegal, go home. You are only interested in your interests, not Americas' interests.

Oh they'll vote for him no matter what. Obama could be much more for boarder enforcement and even if he were a flaming anti-illegal immigration president, they would still vote for him.

These organized protests regarding illegal immigration actually backfire on Latinos and reap bad sentiment among the citizenry. So many years ago in Washington DC we had a huge turnout of Latinos carrying their home nations' flags. This really blew up in their faces. The next demonstration all were carrying U.S. Flags, but the damage was done. Their will have to be an amnesty for many....just a fact of the numbers of Latinos living here illegally working all the low paying jobs that people won't touch. Have you ever been to a chicken processing plant or cattle slaughter house? Fast food jobs used to be for high school kids that wanted work. These days many children are spoiled, don't work, play video games at their houses and eat McDonald's or Taco Bell prepared by Latinos. The huge corporate farms in this country, the ones that put all the farms out of business in Mexico, now employ Mexican farmers-many of them here illegally. NAFTA did a lot of bad things to Mexican workers also. Let's get a work program going, a path toward citizenship for illegals. Let's STOP the name calling. Let's stop baiting Latinos for a vote and blaming these wonderful people for the nations ills. Dems and Repubs...make a deal. Latinos leaders don't go down the race-road claiming racism and will only make matters worse and create wounds that do not heal.
