(CNN) - Would Herman Cain ever accept a VP spot on a Romney ticket?
"I'm not saying 'no.' But it's not an automatic 'yes'," the Republican presidential candidate and former CEO of Godfather's Pizza said during an interview on CNN's "American Morning."
He said the decision to run as a vice presidential candidate would depend largely on who it is and "upon the understanding that we could reach about how they saw my role."
But Cain also made clear his goal was to become President of the United States.
"I'm in it to win it."
Cain also took on his opponents for piling on criticism of his "9-9-9 plan" during CNN's debate in Las Vegas on Tuesday night saying he's been trying to be the "likeable guy," but his opponents are "getting on my last nerve".
So what can we expect from Herman Cain in the next debate?
"I'm going on the attack."

Idiot. Who are your advisors, Mr. Cain? Sausage and Pepperoni? That was the question that you should have dodged and jumped "on message" about yourself. Make up for the one dimensional image that you are painting of yourself, Mr. Cain. You should have presented some ideas about your ideas for foreign policy, the mortgage crisis, the health care crisis, the social issues, etc. Instead, you let them paint yourself as a man living a fantasy. They already say you cannot win the nomination, and you gave them no reason to change that opinion. Idiot. Now, you know why I will not vote for you, Mr. Cain.
Second in charge? The party of inclusion would NEVER allow that so Mr. Cain need NOT worry.
Being VP is something that Mr. lack of proper grammer and diction Granddaddy Cain need not worry himself about. The GOP nominee won't ask him and he definately won't be the nominee. Nuff said....
Cain and the republicans are full of jokes.
Please 2012 election hurry up and get here so we can vote the republicans out of the office
KochCain is just what America needs! (NOT)
Bachman`s correct. "9-9-9" IS "6-6-6" unless you are a millionaire. ...........Then it is a thing of beauty.
I literally don't understand the conservative mindset. They're crazy.
What president would want a "big-mouth" like this as his vice president? He would spend his entire term trying to get this guy out of hot water.
You know the old saying that two wrong don't make it right.
He will keep lowering his sights until he is back in the pizza shop. Indeed, the poor guy never had a chance in the
first place.
Republicans hate Obama so much they would vote for nutty Mitchell Bachman......
mr. crabs says he's in it to win, well bro, wishful thinking. you are just a sarah palin in pants. you are a big joke
Cain is hostile to the poor and middle class... but then so was Dick Cheney!
I read an article. Then i read the same comments ever time. BLAH BLAH BLAH. My favorites are the ones that involve "Repubthugs" and "GOP aka KKK". Those comments go to prove there is a lot of ignorace in this country. I also like the ones were people call them clowns and Obama has no worries. My fovorite poster is Woman in California. She never has anything smart to say. I would go to bet that she has never really looked into any thing in depth. I would say all of her comments are based on "im a democrat and no matter what is out there im going to stay this way instead of having an open mind"
He would be a hell of alot better than scary Perry !!!
KochCain is in it for the money, not for the long haul otherwise he would've involved MRS. CAIN in the campaign process just like his "brothers" from other mothers have.
Let's not be precipitous about you accepting a possible VP slot, let's instead find out why your wife has yet to be seen.
Use the VP run to sell some books, hmmm, where have I seen that game plan before?
@ sick of it: as opposed to 'libtards, dumbocrats, democraps, libsareliars, etc. Yeah, you can really see the thoughtfulness of the CONS.
This man like all the republican who caused this economic mess in the first place, it is just going to be business as usual, padding there friends pockets and getting them richer and make the average citizen pay for it, why would anyone want a party back that almost destroyed this country in the first place, no republican as every did much to create jobs,
