Obama's deportation record: inside the numbers

Washington (CNN) - A record number of people were deported from the United States last year, federal officials announced Tuesday.

But does the Obama administration deserve all the credit - or blame - for this record? And is it actually as impressive as it sounds?

President is killing the terrorist who attacked us, and deporting the illegal immigrants who participated in criminal activities. Keeping the nation more safe

There's always a critic. The fact of the matter is that this President was left a mess by Bush. At least the President is deporting these criminals that are trying to cross over. As far as the people that are already here, Congress should pass the Dream Act.

Is there a contest going on to see what bad things we can do to immigrants? The irony here is the very people that we discriminate against, pay the lowest wages too, insult them the street and marginalize their children in schools. The very people who have taken the hardest jobs in agriculture and labor. Jobs whites wouldn't be caught dead applying for...These very

    "deceptive marketing tactics "

Because everyone knows it's super deceptive when the guy in charge is publicly explaining to everyone why the numbers might seem higher than they actually are so that nobody has a false impression of what it really means. That's the height of deception. Everyone knows the only truth and reality needed are the ones invented in your own head...not the facts and evidence and analysis provided to you by some dude twho is trying to help clarify things.

CNN went to the mat for the GOP/Teatrolls and right wing conservative wingnuts in this article...thewhole thing is spun around he-said-she-said instead of simply reporting the facts....because ANY way you slice it, Obama's record on immigration is actually quite good and if that was allowed to be a publicly accepted fact, instead of something trumped up as a sensationalized controversy as a result of baseless attacks and accusations made by the people most terrified of the truth (and most willing to ignore it) and its consequences for their plans to take over in 2012, then CNN and the rest of the "news" media wouldn't have something to blather about in between filling your face with advertisements.

This runs straight into the face of the constant ridicule from the far right wing that the Obama adminstration isn't doing anything about illegal immigration. Far, far more is being done than what the Bush administration ever did.

What the story, and this administration fails to report is that more illegal aliens are coming in under this administration then what are being deported.

Your argument lacks actual facts. What about these facts about deportations? Is this an attack on businesses that forces them to payer higher hourly rates by removing a segment of their low wage labor force?

Rudy, "Far, far more is being done than what the Bush administration ever did."

Once again, you are having problems with facts here. While Obama hasn't been terrible, he certainly has done far less with regards to illegal immigration. In fact, Obama has done more to fight existing laws than any President in history. Even CNN's article acknowledges that Bush did more.

Rudy and Sniffit are both right. Obama is playing the illegals the same way he has the black voters. All he wants is their vote and forget about them unuil the next election/
