Trump's 'birther' prediction for Perry
(CNN) – Donald Trump predicted fanning the "birther" flames is a "positive thing" for Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry.
During an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan, the real estate mogul said the issue would help the Texas governor in the Republican presidential primary, but might not be "good for him in the general election."
Trump championed the "birther" issue during his flirtation with a bid for the White House. President Barack Obama, who was born in Hawaii, eventually released the long form version of the document to seemingly combat the growing rumors.
Texas Gov. Perry recently expressed doubts about the validity of the birth certificate.
On Wednesday, Perry told Florida's Bay News 9 he was "just having some fun with Donald Trump."
But Trump continued to raise questions about the certificate, saying Obama "might have been" born in America.
"My gut tells me a couple of things. Number 1, you know it took a long time to produce this certificate and when it came out, as you know, you check out the internet, many people say it is not real. Okay? It's a forgery," Trump said. "And the other thing is, nobody has been able to see the day of his birth, they had twins born, they had the other one born. Nobody has been able to find any records that he was born in that hospital."
CNN released the results of its own investigation into the controversy earlier this year. Documents and statements from numerous public officials and childhood friends made clear that the president was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.

How do we know Donald Trump wasn't born in Kenya?.... Oh, that's right. He's white.
It has been proven repeatedly and conclusively that President Obama was, in fact, born in Hawaii. No other president in history has had to go to such great lengths to prove his citizenship. And even after all that, Mr. Trump, the living embodiment of lowest common denominator, still has a "gut feeling" that President Obama wasn't born here. Gee, I wonder what could possibly be different about this president that makes Trump feel he's not "one of us"....
It sure did not take Trump very long to get Perry's cojones in his pocket. Maybe if Anita asks nicely, the Donald will give them back to Rick.
The more he raises the issue, he lowers the GOP's chances.
Hey Trump, you have never released the "interesting findings" of your investigative team that you sent to Hawaii, so everyone knows your are just making all of this up. You say there is no proof, yet you provided absolutely no proof of what you say. There is a mountain of proof, accepted by all but dolts like yourself, that you are wrong. Oh, and BTW, I think a cat horked up a hiarball on your head, in cased nobody had told you yet....

Why haven't Perry, Trump or any of the GOP candidates released THEIR birth certificates?? They all stood on a public stage and said that should be madatory for a presidential candidate to do, yet not a one of them has come forward and done it themselves. Hypocritical scum.
what happened to those "troops" Trump supposedly had on the ground in Hawaii that claimed the certificate wasn't there? What about if Obama shows his real birth certificate Trump shows his real tax return? I guess we were supposed to forget about all that nonsense. Did anyone catch the sniveling twit from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan, accuse the president of causing class warfare? Ryan attacked seniors, veterans, teachers, policemen, firemen, nurses and others in the middle class. For the last thirty years, Ryan's party has made sure that the wealthiest 1% has had their incomes increase by 275%. Middle class increase has been around 18% for the same time period.
