Trump's 'birther' prediction for Perry

(CNN) – Donald Trump predicted fanning the "birther" flames is a "positive thing" for Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry.

During an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan, the real estate mogul said the issue would help the Texas governor in the Republican presidential primary, but might not be "good for him in the general election."

Trump championed the "birther" issue during his flirtation with a bid for the White House. President Barack Obama, who was born in Hawaii, eventually released the long form version of the document to seemingly combat the growing rumors.

Texas Gov. Perry recently expressed doubts about the validity of the birth certificate.

On Wednesday, Perry told Florida's Bay News 9 he was "just having some fun with Donald Trump."

But Trump continued to raise questions about the certificate, saying Obama "might have been" born in America.

"My gut tells me a couple of things. Number 1, you know it took a long time to produce this certificate and when it came out, as you know, you check out the internet, many people say it is not real. Okay? It's a forgery," Trump said. "And the other thing is, nobody has been able to see the day of his birth, they had twins born, they had the other one born. Nobody has been able to find any records that he was born in that hospital."

CNN released the results of its own investigation into the controversy earlier this year. Documents and statements from numerous public officials and childhood friends made clear that the president was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.

Ha Ha Ha...Lawrence Odonnell killed it last night when he stated that Trump is too broke to run for president. The best though was when he stated that he had no contention that the crazy picture with Trump's hair could only be real because a wig would not behave like that...Weeee

I feel kind of sorry for the supporters of Rick Perry because I actually thought he had a chance with his new flat tax thing. But Donald Trump just came along and sank your ship along with your captain. Nothing is a bigger loser right now than bringing up the birther story again. It was an amusing story for the first four or five times but since then it's like, enough already, just admit your on your last gasp before quitting. Even Trump himself had a chance until he mentioned the birther story, then he sank too. I wonder if Trump did this just to get Rick Perry out of the race.

I've been trying to find the right word to describe Donald Trump. I think "vulgar" sums him up.

This is why DT needs to stick to real estate(hum...then again bankruptcy) and reality TV!!! Because he just gave Perry some really stupid advice!!!

For the love of God, stop printing what Donald Trump has to say. Nobody cares. In fact, he's disgusting and more un-American than he claims Obama ever was. Wasn't it enough that we had to endure him traipsing down to Hawaii to "investigate" our President's birth? I can't wait to see Obama CRUSH whatever Republican yahoo is up against him in 2012. It's Goldwater/Johnson all over again. Count on it.

This just goes to show you how desperate some GOPers are getting. When you can't think of anything more to say to help your cause you start over. Problem is it hasn't been long enough for us to forget the last time around. Perry is now dead meat as a candidate.

Who really cares about this? Yeah the certificate could be fake, especially since Obama went way out of his way to prevent it's release. That said, who cares? We have a government that operates outside the confines of the Constitution severely endangering the liberties of each and every one of us. We have a central bank that is raping our nation, printing money non stop causing the poor to suffer devalued already stagnant wages! We have a president who illegally takes the nation to war on a whim (Bush 2.0) and can apparently assasinate any American he deems a threat (think Mr. Bidens irresponsible tea party terrorist remark)! This is not the American way people. We have to stop telling each other how to live and come together around our freedom principles getting this federal government off our backs and back down within the confines of the Constitution. This message brought to you by a true liberal!

This year I took a course in Black History! The Birther issue reminds me of how Freed Men had to always carry their Free Man Papers & show them to any white man who asked to see them! It's a travesty that our 1st Black president has been treated as though we're still in the 19th century! But leave it to Trump & Perry! Note how quickly Ricks Rock was swept under the rug!!

So it's okay for Perry to use this when he is trying to reel in these idiots who still believe this birther garbage, but then if he wins the nomination he is supposed to say Oh No I'm sure Obama was born in the US. Do you have any other issues on which you spout one thing when dealing with your peeps and another when dealing with real people? You're a fish on a beach, Rick, flip-flop, flip-flop.

    Stupidy

This is stupidity at it's WORST. The sad this is that Perry is not much wiser than Trump. My gut feeling is that Trump really want Perry to lose the primary and is stoking this fire in a subtle way to get Perry to fan the flames.

Why doesn't he use Gingrich, Huntsman, Paul, Cain, Santorum, Bachmann or even Romney? I bet he select the most stupid candidate to manipulate, and that's Perry. Perry is the only one Trump thinks will fall for this stupidity.

Doesn't Trump have anything more uplifting to talk about? oh! what a stupidity!!!

Go Perry, go for the tea partiers...

No one is convinced that this man is in his right man. Whoever happens to be his person doctor really needs to refer him to a brain specialist. Many of us firmly believes that something is definitely wrong with him and he has proven time and time again that we are right. I am not going as far to suggest that Perry's just the same, however, he's getting close.

See? the tea party voters are still up for grabs, and this is Trump's method of energizing them to vote for Perry now that they have rejected all of the other candidates. Will it work? it might since they are the only piece of America that believes that Obama is not one of us. They are the only ones who vowed to 'take back our country' from the Kenyan.

Go Perry go...go after the tea partiers...go Perry go...they're still up for grabs.

►the issue would help the Texas governor in the Republican presidential primary, but might not be "good for him in the general election."◄

Then WHY do it??? The more the candidates satisfy the far-RIGHT – the more they will lose. Bachmann's gone, Santorum is gone, Perry is gone, Ron Paul is gone, Cain was never there – only is numbers that say the far-RIGHT does not want Romney. That leaves Romney – and he is such a "flip-flopper," he's gone too!!

OK, after showing it to the media no less than three times, anyone who still doubts Obama was born in Hawaii is simply racist and stupid.
