U.S. sues South Carolina over immigration law

(CNN) - Justice Department officials pressed their campaign against an immigration law in South Carolina on Monday, saying the measure passed there this summer unconstitutionally pre-empts federal authority.

South Carolina's law also could lead to the harassment and detention of authorized visitors, immigrants and citizens, federal officials argue in court documents.

Obama is using police tactics to control civil and legal protects and he's also using legal manuvering to allow an invasion of this country by law breaking people from another land while endangering the lives of America citizens. What's next? Prisons for Americans who speak up?

Wish they'd gone after those war Criminals from 2001-2008 instead of all this stuff.

If they can't get their cotton and veggies harvested, at least the republicans will have to pay more for food also

Put the republican House in the fields to pick cotton - maybe they can do SOMETHING to earn their money

I think we need some kind of strictures on immigration law, and its implementation. Yesterday, I was reading one article on wall street journal, caption is steve jobs. It said as though we do not have enough unemployment in Engineering, and computer software and programming. It is 5% unemployment therein too. Just to grab votes all these one sided biased write ups. Be factual. OK. Lot of H1B visas are for lobby. I do not know why......despite lot of unemployment in there.

The time for political correctness is over! I am sorry if it is an inconvenience for some but illegal emigrants are costing this country millions of dollars it has to be fixed some how. If you are in this country illegally we have to find you some how! Go through the proper channels and be come a citizen. My grandparents did and you are no better than they are!

Why don't you just enforce the laws you have on the books so the states don't have to and look at all the tax dollars we would save.

Our Government is not for the people by the people it's what ever they want to do and that includes Obama.

We don't have open boarders but out Government thinks we do or they might enforce our immigration laws Obama has no right to say which law should be enforced all he is looking for is to get re-elected.

Obama took an oath and he is not obeying the oath he swore to uphold. This is what a dictator does.
