Block: I'll quit smoking if Cain wins election

(CNN) - He made headlines for smoking in a web video last week, but Herman Cain's chief-of-staff Mark Block said he'll kick his cigarette habit if his boss gets elected president.

"When he puts his hand on the Bible, sworn in as the 45th president, it's the last day that I have a smoke," said Block in an interview with The Daily Caller on Tuesday.

Block said his pledge to quit smoking was part of a bet he made with Cain.

The unusual web video last week featured the chief-of-staff lighting up after talking about Cain's unconventional campaign.

The ad prompted a wave of speculation over the purpose of the ad, while Block and Cain hit back, saying "America needs to get a sense of humor."

I don't know if anyone on this message board read Block's past. Believe me, it is something to read. It appears that Block was looking for a job in the WH if Cain won but that is not going to happen. Both of them are oldies but not goodies and should retire.

"Did the MSM hound Obama relentlessly until HE quit?"

Um yeah they did actually. But facts never get in your way.

Well in that case it would be a good idea for you mr. Block to buy stock in Phillip-Morris, since we all know that Cain will not even the Republican Primary. And yes the MSM did hound President Obama about his smoking habit DP.

Smoking is unhealthy. Quitting would only benefit Mr. Block. It's not up for negotiation. For someone running a presidential campaign, Mr. Block dose not appear to be very bright. I wonder what that says about his employer.

I Can only assume that Mr. Block knows that Herbert will never be elected President of the United States, therefore he is not worried about having to quit smoking. LOL

Democrat Party- blah blah blah, I hope he keeps smoking too, if for no other ereason than he will die soon, and its one less semi-felon infecting our political process. Too bad you're defending someone who was barred by court order from participating in Wisconsin politics because he could not grasp the concept of ethics, but, I've come to expect nothing less than blind allegiance to anti- American ideals from you and your lot.
